UK brides-how long before wedding day?

Hi everyone,

How long do we need to be in Orlando before the wedding ideally.

We are wanting to get married as close to the start of our holiday as possible.

If we arrive on the Saturday night/Sunday morning would Tuesday be to oon to have everything organised?

We're arriving on a Saturday and planning for the following Wednesday. We did think about Tuesday initially, but I was a little nervous about any problems we might have picking up the license etc, so we pushed it out another day. It's probably do-able, I'm just being over-cautious maybe.

We arrived on a Friday afternoon and married on the Tuesday. The court house was closed at the weekend so we went to get our licence first thing Monday morning - it was all very simple. Just make sure you take your passports and any documentation regarding any previous marriages.


There are two court houses near Disney(see below) , they are both open Monday - Friday excluding holidays, so be sure to check the US holidays.

Osceola County: 2 Courthouse Square, Kissimmee
Orange County: 425 North Orange Avenue, Room 355, Orlando

We arrive on Friday night and are getting married on Tuesday morning. We have organised our marriage license through the mail so we don't need to go to the court house, which is nice. It does cost the extra notary fees, which for us was £120 (I have seen others say £75 but ours was in central London which bumps up the price) but we felt it was worth it for the peace of mind
