I liked that the family wasn't one of those typical tv families where the father is an idiot & the brother is sarcastic to the sister. They were a more supportive, loving family, that was nice. I did find it sad that she would do so many of the degrading things her boss asked of her so that she could keep the job and move up someday.

I loved the accent on Betty's new friend at work. Looks like it might be a good show. Will it always be an hour or was that just because it was the first show. Wasn't that Penelope Cruz in the telenovela?

I enjoyed this also. I thought it was funny and sweet at the same time. Made me laugh and feel sad.

I tivo'd it thinking I would enjoy and I did.

There was a point in the show last night that had me nearly in tears (at the photo shoot)...'cause I could just totally understand how she felt. Doing everything asked of her because she wanted to fit in and be a part of something...BTDT.

I was impressed with the show!

I was looking forward to it, and I wasnt dissapointed! I think its the best new show this year!

I absolutely loved the guts she showed to put on the outfit (for the model).
And they put a mystery in there as well!

Have to say that I saw it and loved it too - also loved the supportive family and proud of Betty that she finally spoke her mind about Daniel getting what he wanted (about embarrasing her enough to quit).

And Selma as the soap star nurse - what a hoot!!!

I watched the pilot with my son(14.5) We gave it two thumbs UP. My DS claimed that there's some girl in his school dresses like Betty. I hope the kids are not as mean as Betty's co-workers.

The lead girl is good, but the scripts really need some work.

I think it's a really cute, sweet, and funny show. I'll definitely keep watching it! And I really like that actress, America Ferrera, who plays Betty. She's really pretty and talented. I liked her in "The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants" and "Real Women Have Curves."
