Does Uber operate in Orlando, more specifically, within Disney? Any limitations, restrictions, etc.?

Uber does operate in Orlando/at Disney. There are restrictions, set by the city not by Disney.

I used Uber at Disney several weeks ago. I went from Boardwalk Villas to Animal Kingdom. I am not aware of any restrictions; however, the driver did seem skeptical about getting into Animal Kingdom (he claimed that I would have to pay the attendants for parking even though I was being dropped). I told him that I had an annual pass so we would be waived through. He still seemed unsure so offered to drop me at Animal Kingdom Lodge and told me that "it's a quick bus ride away." I told them that I didn't want to take any bus ride - that was the reason why I taking Uber to begin with. When we were indeed waived through he laughed and said that he learns something new each day. Now, call ME skeptical but maybe it's just easier to drive to the front of AK Lodge than the actual park? I'll never know . . . :-)

In any case, he never mentioned any specific restrictions but there might very well be some.

We Ubered a few weeks back to get back to AoA from dinner at 1900 PF at the Grand Floridian. Taking the bus and transferring at a park would have been a major pain -- especially at 9pm when our dinner ended.

The only specific restriction I know of is that Uber can't pick up at MCO. I hear the workaround is to take the free shuttle to an offsite car rental place and get Uber to pick you up there.

We used Uber to get from AKV to US hotel and back, plus from Cali Grill to AKV. We had great service each time and paid $0 for these trips (well, we did tip, even though we didn't have to). My DH signed up for an Uber account using a promo code from a friend they give to all Uber users. I then used the code they gave DH to sign up for an Uber account. Doing these two things gave us 3 free rides!

If you do not have an annual pass, can you get into the parks with Uber? I'm going for a conference so am staying off site, something I've never done before, and am unsure how to get to the parks as I will not have a car.

As others have said the only restriction Uber has in Orlando is they can't pick you up at the airport. But you can take your bags to the airport hotel or rental car place and use them.

You can absolutely be dropped off at the parks by Uber (the only exception is MK -- where only buses can drop off right at the park, you can either be dropped off at CR and then walk over or TTC and get to MK via ferry or monorail). The driver (or you) just tell the parking attendant that you're just being dropped off. They usually put a pass on the windshield that says "drop off" and are sent to the drop off location.

Thank you, that was the piece I was missing! I couldn't figure out how to avoid paying to park.
