I have a 7, 4 and 2 year old, we have an old planning video and they've already chosen Blizzard Beach as their choice. Is this going to be fun for tots too, or should we go to Typhoon. Also if there is a height restriction, does that mean they can't do the slide at all, or can a parent go down with them. (I'm talkling about the petite 7 year old.)

I think BB will be fine for them. They have a special area just for little kids. I think if they don't meet the height requirement for a big slide, CM's won't let them go down it. I do think they could go on the family raft ride though. That's a blast and BB has the best one.:D

I definintley think that BB is the better of the two. There is a lot more to do at BB and from what I can remember, there is a lot for youngsters to do. Infact, I remember a whole bunch of slides and activities for children. I think you'll be happy if you choose BB.
Have fun! :D

TL would be my choice - more shade, tropical themes, ketchakiddie creek is a fun area for smaller kids. Great river tube ride as well

Thanks

We went to both last June with kids who were 9, 5, and 2 at the time, and we preferred BB.

BB has a preschool area (which was great for the 2 almost 3 year old) and of some interest to our 5 year old. The 5 year old also went on many of the 'adult' rides.....any that didn't require swimming at the bottom. They also have a 'Junior Ski-Patrol' area which is supposed to be targeted to 5-12 year olds; that'd be a great option for anybody who doesn't meet the height requirements on the 'adult' ride. Finally, the family raft ride is the best!

TL has incredibly nice landscaping and a fantastic wave pool. Also lots of sand if that appeals to your kids. However, my older kids weren't as thrilled with the water slides there. My biggest complaint was that the baby/preschool area in TL has lots of water spraying from above, and my 2 year old (who was actually 3 months away from being 3) hated that. We had to work hard to find a place where he could stand without having water coming down on him--slides and play areas alike. They also have a pirate ship in the middle that enables kids to direct water cannons.....fun for the kids pointing them, but not much fun for some of the toddler/preschooler targets! Seemed like most of the preschool slides at BB didn't have the 'water spraying from above' set-up.

Both parks are fun.....it's great if you can do both....but with young kids or varied age kids, we like BB best.

BuzzLightYear3, good points on the spraying water from above - DS did not like that but loved the kiddie tube ride in the kids area at TL - the cannons are a bit of a nuisance especially when used by parents

thanks for the suggestions, and a heads up on the water spraying. 2 yr old would hate it and so would mommy standing close by.
