Two transportation questions

In July our family will be completing our first WDW-VB-WDW trip. We will be staying at a Disney resort for 4 days then getting a rental car and going to Vero Beach for 4 days and then back to Disney for 4 more days.

Question #1-- Can we still use Disney's Magical Express for arriving and departing even though for 4 days in the middle of our trip we will not be at an on-site Disney Resort?

Question #2-- How do you handle getting a rental car after arriving on-site and dropping it off when coming back to WDW?

#1 Yes, you can still use DME on your arrival and departure as long as you are checking into a WDW resort on your arrival day and checking out of a WDW resort you your departure day. You may wind up with extraneous DME vouchers/tags as they likely will book you for two full round trips, but that's no bidg deal.

#2 There are National/Alamo rental locations at the Dolphin and at the Disney Car Care Center near the MK. You can pick up and drop off cars at either one of those locations.
