Two things I don't understand about TV sitcoms:

I hate that about sitcoms. 9 times out of 10, the men are made out to be morons who can't sit in a chair without the assistance of their "super" wife, who spends the whole show rolling her eyes at his incompetence.

Dad is not only dumb but usually fat and his wife is hot.

Same reason all sitcom rooms only have 3 walls. Come on, name one sitcom room where you've seen that 4th wall.....it doesn't exist I tell you.

1. Why do people who live in city apartments never lock their doors?

2. Why are the big kids always bullies? Or stupid? Or both?

You've never been to my house. My doors are never locked during the day when somebody is home. My doors are never locked in the evening if one of use has gone some place. At night, my doors get locked about 1/2 the time. The other 1/2 nobody remembers to lock them.

I'm so sad I know this, but Monica subletted that apartment from her Grandmother. I think it was rent controlled.

Yup- her Nana let the girls sublet her rent-controlled apt. when she died, they found all kinds of weird stuff in the closets.

But- come on, Pheobe, who was a free-lance massage therapist (who was unemployed a lot) lived BY HERSELF in a HUGE 2 bedroom apt after Rachel moved out. She was a former homeless teen!! How in the world could she afford that place??

And Carrie on Sex in the City- her apt wasn't big, but it was pretty great for New York, and she lived on a newspaper columnist's salary, AND she could afford couture and Manolos??:confused3
