Two HotT College Chicks and a Cowboy Take on the World

My husband really likes the Japanese pavillion. Japan kinda holds a special place in his heart. A long, long time ago in a city far, far away, my husband began working for a Japanese owned company. They chose two people to go to Japan for three months for a certain type of training. My husband was one of the two. However, he declined to go. What's the reason, you ask. Apparently, right smack dab in the middle of those three months he had a previous engagement that had taken ten months to plan. Any guesses? Here's a clue. :bride: heh heh

At any rate, we made some great lifelong friends while he worked there. They want us to come to Japan and visit them and my dh really wants to make that happen, but for now he will have to settle for the Japan pavillion at Epcot. Practically the same thing, right?

We spend quite a bit of time at the Mitsukoshi Department Store and pick up lots of candy and trinkets for the kids. They love the little candies covered in rice paper cuz they think they're being funny by eating the paper.

RonStoppable strikes up a "conversation" with the gal working at the counter.
She giggles and looks surprised. What's so odd about a cowboy speaking Japanese? Don't they all?:confused3 I have now been married long enough to know zackly how much Japanese RonStoppable can speak, so I rescue him just as their conversation is about to come to an abrupt halt. He wishes her a good day and thanks me quietly under his breath. I figure it was the least I could do, since he gave up a chance to have a three month adventure in an exotic land and dashed his hopes of climbing the corporate ladder just so he could marry me. Makes us about even, dontchathink?:rolleyes1

I glance at my cellphone. PJ must not be feeling well. I only have 24 texts from her. Maybe the napkin twirling is keeping her extra busy that evening. It is now time to head back to the non-boring country of Canada and have a nice relaxing meal.

Welllll, whaddya know. I have rambled on and on and we still aren't at Le Cellier.

How about this. Le Cellier was good. We left. We walked around. We went back to the hotel. We swam. The End? Is that what y'all want? I certainly wouldn't want to be accused of putting too many details in a TR. Not that I EVER have.

At least now I wont be bogged down by that hotT college chick. That's the only reason this TR has gone so slowly. I would have been done by now, but I'm trying to be polite and give her a chance to speak. But since she was off napking twirling and snatching Krispy Kremes from the back room and has nothing to add to this part of the TR, I will proceed with this in a timely manner.

PJ has offered to print it out at her school library, cuz they don't mind you doing stuff like that. heh heh

I will work on the next installment. for reals. But PJ will be absent for part of it, so it's up to my dh and I to stir up a little trouble. And I think we're pretty good at it.

Since we seem to be the only two people left in TR land, I'm going to say goodnight for now Lisa. See ya when I post the next installment.

Cool! You'll have to visit me (for like half an hour or so) and we'll partake in some yummy poutine!!! :yay:

Looking forward to the next chapter. Let's see if DH can match your wit!!!

Night!

My little blue TR notebook is becoming tattered and torn and the ink in my "Cars" pen is nearly dried up, I think it's time to put an end to this TR. Or perhaps I could at least make it through half a day with this post. On second thought, don't expect miracles people.
Not until the monkey story!

BTW PJ YOU CAN POST WHENEVER YOU FEEL LIKE IT. FEEL FREE TO JUST JUMP RIGHT IN. ANYTIME. REALLY. I WILL BE FINE WITH THAT. Whenever you are ready just whistle."You know how to whistle, don't you? You just put your lips together and blow." (PJ: That is a famous movie quote. You should know it. The actress who said it has your first name. p.s. do ya like my whistling smiley?)
Yeah, but the movie it's from was made before 1995. Just sayin'. :rolleyes1

We do stop for a quick pic at the International Gateway. Ta Da! Don't we look oh so fabulous in the 100 degree August humidity? My background is the French pavilion since I speak French..un peu, and my husbands background is Japan since he speaks Japanese...(however you say a little in Japanese)
::yes::

Next stop France. Parlez-vous francais? The French pavilion is pretty cool, but the bakery is awesome. "Boulangerie Paitisserie" is definitely a must see. But we are going to be eating soon. And we are on the DDP! And I know that I can never finish all that food on the DDP!! But I want some French pastries!!! Because they taste like heaven and look like art work!!!! (Good thing no art critics are reading this TR. @@) This is an ACK!TMum-worthy moment if I have ever had one. RS tries to convince me to get a pastry. He even offers to split it with me. I DECLINE!!!????!!!!! I think the humidity finally got to me. This is NOT typical bbn behavior. My husband is convinced I'm feverish. We walk by and I lament "OMGosh, that smells so good".

He threatens to go in and buy one, but I stop him. I've never eaten at Le Cellier and I want to save room. Plus, I tell myself that we can always stop back by and get one later...like that ever happens.
A must stop (along with the Norway bakery) -- love their creme brulee'.

Whaaaaaat? WTHeck?

We step into "Plume Et Palette" so I can dab on super expensive perfume. Or is that parfum? Wait. I think perfume is better than parfum and eau de toilette is the cheapest of the three? Right? Of course, I am right. At any rate, I come out smelling better than a French uhhhh, ummmm, errrr, perfume shop?
Um, yeah, exactly what I was thinking. :rolleyes1

You're quicker than.........well.......you know. :rolleyes1
Hey! You leave me out of this!

Canada is soooo skipped, but only because we will be returning in a few hours. I certainly didn't mean to insinuate that it's boring or anything of that nature. We head straight to the United Kingdom. Ya know the country where, ELIZABETH is QUEEN. That has a certain ring to it, I must admit. United Kingdom is one of those countries in World Showcase that got gypped. There is no cool ride and no movie. I think the people of the UK, Morocco, Italy, and Germany should unite and demand to be properly represented in Epcot. "We be representin'. Yo" The least they could do is build a replica of the London Eye or sumpthin. Where's an imagineer when you REALLY need one? Maybe the Imagineers are still harboring ill will from that whole "Revolutionary War" incident. Maybe they are direct descendents of Paul Revere or Patrick Henry. It COULD happen people. Not everybody forgives and forgets these things. Sheesh. (or maybe they thought it already takes two days to make it through Epcot, let's not overwhelm our guests even more........nah. The other reason sounds more interesting.)

On a side note, RS does love their fish and chips. Seafood is not high on my priority list of foods, so I am more than happy to remind him that we need to keep movin' since we are eating soonishly.
I NEVER skip Canada. Especially when Off Kilter is playing!

Interesting theory about why the UK is one of those countries in World Showcase that got gypped :thumbsup2

My hubby also loves UK's fish and chips.

I skip pretty much everything in France except for a quick dash into the pastry shop because (NOtothosewhosegoalitisto"smellnice") the perfume literally makes me ill. Not a goog place for people with asthma :sad2:

In September, we did manage to see the act where the two guys stack the chairs sky high and climb up them. Nab's DD got pulled out of the crowd during their show.

Hope PJ is feeling well enough to add her two cents before you finish up this TR!

Love your Canada smilies collection, LBelle!

Dont worry, there is more creme brulee' to come in this TR.

Well....at least YOU got what I meant!!!! :rotfl2:

I knew what you meant, I was simply trying to "redirect the conversation", but the last time I did that it didn't turn out so well.

Perhaps my redirecting the conversation days are over.

1. Hi Moo. I SOMETIMES tend to ramble and my mind begins to wander off topic...on occasion.:rolleyes1

2. I've never seen them. I bet my kids would like that too.

3. Being in perfect health does not equate being able to post on a TR in PJ's world. Just sayin.

Oh, I'm sorry. Maybe while I was on my deathbed with the flu AND strep throat hacking up a lung with a ridiculous fever I should have thought to myself "hey, I should go write a tr."   You never cease to amaze me.

DID I SAY THAT?!?!?:snooty: Noooooooooooooooooooooo.

I said *allow me to clarifyTMbbn* being in perfect health does not equate being able to post on a TR in PJ's world.

Shall I translate? This means we waited almost a month for you to add your commentary on the last post. I FINALLY went on without you. The pressure is off now, cuz you ain't in this part.

Well, not until our late night swim and subsequent walk at OKW.:rolleyes1

See? More "interesting" things to come y'all.

I am boring. I have nothing to say.

Now you want me to call you MO? :confused3 You just get stranger and stranger by the second. Oh well, color me PJ.

Would anyone else have ever believed that a 4-day trip could turn into a 6-month long trip report? Incredible, really. Just saying.

Hey! I'm from MO. What a coinkydink!

-- Rob
But really, who was talking to you anyway? :confused3

Would anyone else have ever believed that a 4-day trip could turn into a 6-month long trip report? Incredible, really. Just saying.

Clearly you haven't viewed my other trip report. It took place March 2-12, 2007 and it is still a work in progress. I'm going for a nice even year. I think the bbn might be following my lead.

This just keeps getting better and better and better....popcorn::
