Two for One: Double Disney Birthdays! *Meg nonTR upd 9/23* // *Help out Katie! 10/22*

Sorry you have such a crazy schedule this semester :( 47 days is going to go by pretty quickly. I love that you have both our countdowns on your whiteboard  I need to do that.

Ummm...will you hate me if I say I don't have an itinerary? We decide day-by-day what we're going to do and usually discuss the night before what our destination will be -- we have hoppers so we take advantage and go everywhere. You know I'll be texting you daily and sending you pictures, though, so you will definitely know where I am!

I forgot to mention this in my other post -- we're not going to do Rose and Crown, because they changed the park closing from 8 to 9, and our ADR was for 6:45 so we could try to catch Illuminations. My mom tried to switch it to a later time or a different day but there was absolutely nothing. It's okay, though, we still have plenty of good eats. I am so excited for Disney food!

It's perfectly ok that you don't have an itinerary! We don't tend to follow one when we go...but I do like to do predictions of which parks we might visit on which days...and since my Mom and Kris haven't been in a super long time I'm probably going to make a more solid itinerary so that I can at least pretend that we are going to fit everything in :rotfl: Mostly I just try to predict which mornings we should visit which parks, then our evenings are determined by ADR's or are left blank.

As far as hoppers go, Patrick told me upfront that I'm not even allowed to tell my Mom that you can get tickets without hoppers....He doesn't even want her to entertain the idea of staying in just one park for each day of the trip :lmao:

If you can just hold out a couple more weeks - it seems like when you hit the 30 day mark, it goes really fast.

We have a loose itinerary, but we are fine with changing as we go when members of the group throw out new ideas.

I am looking forward to the pictures. :thumbsup2

Disney food brings much happiness, especially because you don't have to cook it or clean up the mess! :cool1:

Good idea. Don't give her too much knowledge of how it works.
Once a hopper, always a hopper. :thumbsup2

I know that last year my mom wrote down the crowd predictions and best/worst parks from some website (touringplans? I can't remember), and we went by that, but ignored the advice about avoiding EMH, especially the nighttime ones. ;)

That's hilarious that Patrick didn't want you to tell your mom about the tickets without hoppers! We are so spoiled by the hoppers! I mean, on our first night last year, we went to AK for the nighttime EMH, rode EE and Dinosaur, then decided that we needed a calmer ride and headed to Epcot just to ride SSE. :rotfl: Plus I like them because if it's crowded at one park, we can leave and go to another.

Oh...guess whose mother added another ADR? :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

We also have a very loose idea of where we think we're going to be (based on EMH and ADRs), but we usually discuss the night before what we want to do the next day. However, there is video from our April '08 trip and we were walking TO the bus stop, when someone, maybe me, asked, "so where we are going?" Someone else responded with, "Uh...I dunno." :rotfl2: So really, the discussion the night before is where we're going in the morning and what time we're going to leave. Anything after that is up in the air. I am sure there are some commandos who would just die reading that, but it works for us!

I'm going to be sending pictures to Facebook, too! I'll be sure to get some pictures of palm trees for you. :goodvibes

Ok give!!!! Where is the ADR to?????????? You're killing me with the suspense!!!

:rotfl: I was going to text you and tell you, but then I decided to just write it here and build some suspense. ;) Crystal Palace on Monday the 15th, at 9:50 PM. My mom said she didn't know why, but she did it.

Hmmmm. Just as I went to post this, I got a Facebook notification... :lmao:

I was also in the process of debating if I should send you a text or not....:rotfl::rotfl: I'm not a very patient person!

It's okay...I'm not either! Also, I love our having two separate conversations on here and on Facebook.

Let me know when you're planning on posting your itinerary, okay? It doesn't matter when to me, whenever is easiest for you works for me. I'll post my very loose and subject to change itinerary whenever you do. :goodvibes

It came up in conversation on Facebook last night with Katie that I didn't do a two week dance yesterday, so she did it for me :goodvibes I have some cold/sinus thing, and I was in kind of a fog at work yesterday, so it barely crossed my mind that we were two weeks out. I had plans to go home and just read or nap when I left at 5, but Mike (my 22 year old, 6 foot tall "little" brother,) texted me at about 4 asking if I'd go with him to the nearby gas station to have the mechanic fix his tire. It was when we were standing outside and I was looking across the street at the Dunkin Donuts, debating whether or not it was worth it to cross the busy street and get a coffee, that it suddenly hit me that just TWO WEEKS from that very time, instead of standing outside a gas station staring longingly at the Dunkin Donuts across the street, I would be in Disney World. :woohoo:

Since we don't really do itineraries, it's hard to say where we'll be at this time in two weeks. I am sure we'll be out and about, because on Wednesday, we're leaving for the airport at about 5 AM, which means I'll be getting up at 4 AM, which I'm sure will make for a very early bedtime that night.

Monday is going to be SINGLE DIGIT dancing. :dance3: That is also the day that Charles and I are finally going to the Harry Potter exhibit!! I'm really, really excited for it, and even if we can't take pictures, I'm pretty sure we're at least going to wander Boston a little bit afterwards, so I'm sure I'll have pictures to share. :goodvibes

Happy Belated Two-Week Dance, Megan!!!

Hope you feel better soon!!! :goodvibes

So, did you cross the street for a coffee?

Thanks Jackie! I'm trying really really hard to keep it from getting any worse by taking over the counter sinus medicine, and its been helping.

Sadly, no. I just stared at the Dunkin Donuts. :rotfl: I wouldn't have been able to taste the coffee, so I just decided against it.

I am so excited!! On Monday we hit the single digits! People at work have been asking me if I'm going on vacation next week, and I keep on telling them not next week, but the week after...I can't believe how close it is!

Yay for two weeks! :cool1: I'll be at the two mark on Tuesday! I hit the teens today :dance3:

Feel better!!! I had a cold right before I went to Disney last year(or the year before...?) and it went away the day after I got there. Must have been the Disney magic ::yes::

I can't believe how close it is getting!! You need to remind me to PM you my cell at some point before I leave...my memory is poor. :rotfl: Which reminds me, I had another bizarre trip-related dream! I dreamt that I read on the DIS that MK was going to be closed on February 15 & 16! :scared1: I mean, I've heard of the parks closing due to capacity, but this was a scheduled thing. :confused3 I was thinking, "but the 16th is Kailyn's birthday and that's when I'm supposed to try to meet up with Christine! Why is closing on our last two days there?!" I am so over these bizarre trip-related dreams. :lmao:

Thanks! I'm feeling okay today. :goodvibes My boss letting me come in to work 2 hours later than I was scheduled so I could sleep helped a lot!

I had to share it with you! I knew you would understand the craziness of it. :rotfl: I knew you'd be in class but I had to tell you so I wouldn't forget.

I'm not even surprised that they lost, especially after what Charles told me about the Sabres being #1. I thought it was going to be a total slaughter, but they scored one goal, which is one more goal than I expected. :rotfl2:

I totally understood! And it was nice to have a message from you in between leaving class and driving downtown. I love my internship, but driving downtown, finding parking, and paying for it always stress me out...I'm not a fan of driving in busy locations...then there are the 7 flights of stairs to get to the offices where I work when I get there :scared1: My knee hates stairs.

I've been to Sabres games before where I've seriously doubted if we would ever score....last game we went to they really surprised us though...they scored their first goal at 27 seconds, there second at 1:34 (or something like that) and their third goal at like 3 minutes. We later found out that this made them the 4th team to ever score goals that fast...

You can just PM it to me now if you want so you don't forget. My memory isn't too good either

 I'm glad that was just a dream! I had another one recently too! I dreamt that we overslept and didn't wake up until 6:00 AM the day we're leaving for Disney. That would be very bad since we have an 8:00 AM flight. And it got scarier...We hadn't packed anything yet :scared1: I was horrified when I woke up :rotfl: I was like "MOM! Promise me that's not gonna happen!!!!!" I was freaking out :lmao:

Glad you're feeling better :goodvibes Extra sleep always helps ::yes::

I'm very excited about that fact that on Monday we'll be able to say "We're going to Disney THIS MONTH!!!"
