Two Castles and a Polynesian Dream (A Wedding & a Disneymoon) Update*Mr & Mrs*

:thumbsup2

But I need to know before I leave on vacation ........ so you have 3 months and 3 weeks to tell me ALL about it!

Lol don't worry, i'm sure all will be shared well before that ;)

I think I need to move to Austria and take your job, I am so jealous that you can go to WDW so much!

everything looks so wonderful and romantic, I can't wait to meet you guys, and then come home and read your tr!!

Have you been on your trip or just about to go?

We have already been on our trip, the first week in April. I advise if you don't like crowds to not go during that time of year.:scared1: Wow, I felt boxed in so to speak! Otherwise it was a really great time with my husband, celebrating our 10th anniversary.:lovestruc

Are you going to be doing a trip report? I've recently just starting reading them and now I'm addicted, haha. Your centrepieces look awesome Stefy, very romantic! :lovestruc

Thank you :) We can't wait for September to roll around :teeth:

I suppose I will just have to be patient and wait until then, which is not my strongest skill!

I will try and keep you entertained with other news how about that? :teeth:

So not fair. :lmao:

Can't wait for the big reveal!

Soon my friend, soon :)

Your centerpieces look beautiful! So simple, yet so elegant! :)

Thank you :)

Are you doing a TR? Sorry it was so busy, but glad you had a fantastic Anniversary break :goodvibes

Probably not for this one.:confused3 I don't think I took enough good pictures to satisfy DIS readers. When we go back in October, I'll be a camera wielding fiend because my daughter will be on her first trip, so I'll have enough for a couple TR's.:)

That sounds like a great compromise! :teeth:

:) Am hoping to do some updates soon. This weekend has been so busy I couldn't bring myself to go on the laptop.

I am sure you took enough pictures to make a great TR, but I know what you mean. Our second trip we hardly took any that we vowed to take loads on our next trip and we did :teeth:

You are such a tease!!!!!!!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I know, we're bad

Aww thank you  Yes we were enjoying some lovely warm weather at the weekend but it has cooled right down this week. Am sitting in the office with my heater on, its crazy! :upsidedow We are very much looking forward to this weekend as we get another two extra days off (Friday and Monday)

I see you haven't got long til your next trip, exciting exciting :teeth:

I hope it warms up for your weekend, you all do get some crazy weather in England. I love the sky in the UK, such an intense blue when it is blue, and the big puffy clouds. It is a beautiful country.
I am very excited my trip to WDW, it right is around the corner. I am lucky WDW being so close it is only a 6 hour drive and not a bad drive at that. When you cross the FL border at the welcom ecenter they have fresh OJ and grapfruit juice, I am easily pleased.
I am going to admit I am guilty of getting a tiny bit caught up a in the Royal wedding, it is all over the tv here. Don't think I will wake up for the ceremony but I am curious about the dress. Have a great weekend and enjoy your time off from work.

This weekend has actually been quite nice, not as warm as the one before but very pleasant all the same :)

So cool you get a welcome drink of OJ on arrival into Florida :teeth:

The Royal Wedding was just lovely, so glad the weather turned out good and that everything went perfectly and her dress was just stunning, perfect for her :bride:

Hello Everyone :wave2:

How are we all doing? Having a good weekend I hope :)

Sorry that I have, yet again, been AWOL. Last weekend was just busy busy, then we had three work days that were busy busy and Friday and yesterday I was out for most of the day. So today and tomorrow we are staying home before getting going back to the normalcy of work.

But I am here with a few updates for you, old and new, but still good :teeth:

So you know when we're going, where we're staying, what we're doing and what we're eating. I guess it's time for the Day by Day updates then :) Lets start with...

Arrival Day - Wednesday 14th September
We had to fly out to Orlando a day earlier as London flights tend to get in late, so we would miss debarkation for our Cruise and we couldn't have that now could we.

We were uh-ming and ah-ing over whether to stay at the airport, near to Port or at a Disney Resort and we have figured that the better option is to stay Disney as we can get the ME to the resort (as we would have to pay for a cab twice if we stayed near port) and then a private transfer the next morning to PC.

So, we have decided to stay at:

I have always wanted to stay here as its just so pretty and I am obsessed with going to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, so I can finally get my beads :teeth: and Dave can get his pin of the resort.

Once we get there we'll check in and check out our room (a plus side of arriving late our room is usually ready by the time we get there) and hoping there will still be some daylight left to take photos.

Food wise we are in two minds whether to eat at Sassagoula or take the boat down to DTD. What do you guys think?

That's pretty much it for arrival day, nothing exciting but it gets you started and ready for Disney :teeth:

Love French Quarter, so pretty! Hmmm...there are a lot of good eating options at DTD (Earl of Sandwich! :lovestruc), but at some point you'll have to stop by Sassagoula to try their beignets - YUM!

Thanks :) Yes I have heard of the famous beignets, might grab some for breakfast the following morning :teeth: I do like the sound of the burger at Sassagoula which has gumbo or something in it.

Hello again

So last weekend was Easter Bank Holiday and what kept me so busy was not only the glorious sunshine and what not, but also baking and BBQ's :teeth: I went a big baking mad and baked three whole days in a row. Had so much fun though and man I have never washed up so much in my life than in the past three days

Friday I made Dave a Butterscotch cake with Butterscotch filling and I was supposed to make Butterscotch Icing but it kinda went a bit wrong, here's the result:

Saturday I made Easter Cupcakes and these babies came out so well, was so pleased with them and they went down a treat at home as well as work, what you think?

Sunday I made Easter Cookies. For me these were tricky as I have never made cookie cutter cookies before and I almost gave up until sudden realisation set in. The recipe said to cut the dough into three parts and roll out evenly, which I did and then placed in the fridge for an hour. After an hour I came back down and they were still moist, so I left for another hour. Again they were still most so I thought to myself add more flour and roll out again and then I though why not just roll out two lumps, which then lead me to think ah I need thicker roll of dough rather than the thin roll earlier, duh! :upsidedow Anywho, enough rambling, here's how they turned out :)
