Two Castles and a Polynesian Dream (A Wedding & a Disneymoon) Update*Mr & Mrs*

Hi Stefy! :wave2:

I am all caught up here again - still in awe about your flowers. They are just so beautiful, you have very good taste, girl!

Not very long until your wedding - 4 months and 3 weeks, it's coming up fast! And I cannot wait to read all about your planning and then the big event and the Disneymoon! :goodvibes

Hope you are having a wonderful start to your week! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to start the next chapter in my life and I know I shouldn't be wishing the small moments away to get there, but then this is me Stephanie a Leo from London who is always in a hurry and too impatient to wait for anything

But I do get what you all say and that we should savour the moments we have and I pray that every moment is a wonderful one :goodvibes

Well, I can speak from experience as an insane planner during our wedding. The time may fly up to the week of the wedding, but after that, since all your hard work and planning has been done, you can relax!

I took a moment, the morning of my wedding, and found a little quiet corner to sit down (not waking up my bridesmaids who had crashed in my suite the night before:rotfl: ) and just meditated on making sure that NO MATTER WHAT, I was going to remember every detail of my wedding.

And.... I did. Right down to the food we ate. I think all the craziness you're going through now will pay off when you have zero stress on the actual wedding day.

Even better, the relaxing and fun honeymoon! :goodvibes

A little late but I am in! Your wedding is going to be absolutely beautiful :lovestruc I think the orange theme goes really well with a wedding in Italy. Me and my fiance are getting married in June and also going to Disney for our honeymoon. I'm planning on starting a thread for the food and what not when the trip is done. We've been once before together and I've been once when I was younger. I can't wait!

Hello you, thanks for the lovely comments. It really is getting closer and closer, will be the big day before we know it :bride:

I am praying there will be no stress or drama on the day, I want to savour as much of it as possible, but I don't want it to fly by too quickly either :teeth:

I love that you took a quiet moment to yourself and just sat and relaxed, maybe I will take a leaf out of your book and watch the sun rise from our balcony :goodvibes

Hello Everyone

How are we doing? Good week so far?

Sorry I have been so neglectful been catching up on things here and there really.

Not much to update apart from one Disney thing that we have booked that we can't wait to do (we'll let you know what it is nearer the time).

Not much wedding stuffs either, got a few RSVP's back but they are from the people we know are defo coming.

So I thought I would share the centrepieces with you, see what you think.

Basically we are going for something very simple. Basically we are going to order a bunch of these

To line up along the whole length of the tables and have a nice line of rose petals also the whole length so that it looks something like this

Like I said, its something very simple and perfect for us. You get the prettyness of the petals during the day and in the evening we'll have the candle light which will create an lovely romantic, intimate atmosphere.

What do you think?

I think it's a lovely idea! Very romantic and it won't take away from the amazing location you'll be having your reception it! (Also, those are a lot easier to deal with afterwards, the petals are swept up and the candles - if you are buying them youselves - can be picked up and taken home by guests if they want.)

This is really going to be an amazing wedding!

Aww thank you  I love the centre pieces, we weren't really going to have any to start with, but the planner in me (I want to do this for a living, plan parties and weddings) just couldn't resist.

The only thing is transportation. We're thinking about ordering 20 of these and they are glass, I might have to split them up and divide between our suitcase (we're sharing) and my parents. But it should all be ok :)

Depending on the size of the votives an option to ship them could be this (I've done it with votive holders 2-3 inches in diameter):

Find a wine case with the cardboard separators included.
Wrap each votive in bubble wrap w/ the raised side facing outwards away from glass.
Then wrap in paper (this is somewhat optional) Fill in extra space (if any) with balled up newspaper.
Tape up the box well on all corners.

Then you can either mail it to the venue or have it checked as luggage. Might be less of a hassle than hoping everyones luggage makes it without shards.

That is an idea, or maybe one of those poster cardboard thingies (if they fit), hopefully it won't cost that much to post, can post it to our wedding coordinator.

Thanks for that

Hi, right now you have me wanting to know what the Disney thing you have booked is? It's like telling someone 'not to do that' when you know the first thing they'll want to do is that exact thing, lol!!

Love the simplicity of the centre pieces with rose petals! :thumbsup2 The candle light in the evening will def create a lovely romantic atmosphere :)

Hi Stefy,
I am terribly behind, what with our April trip now in the books, I've just been playing catch up with everyone's reports. So sorry I'm so far behind!

That being said, I think your favors are very classy, nice arrangment to them! The invitations are stunning, very nice!

I absolutely LOVE Calla Lilies! My sister is getting married on September 24 and she is going to have calla lilies in her boquets. Very beautiful! Orange is a very vibrant color and I'm glad that Dave convinced you. I think everything will be perfect.:yay:

:love:Your engagement story. Sigh. That's what romance is all about right there! Way to go Dave! Your ring is stunning as well!
