Two Blondes Walk Into A Theme Park: June 23-29

I'm joining in too! I love your reviews so far. Your 'Ohana meal looks fabulous and I'm glad they had some lovely dishes for you.

And I would kill for a Mickey waffle right now! Can't wait for your upcoming reviews.

The veggie sushi that you got at O'Hana looks yummy! I'm wondering if they might have that at the Kona sushi bar. Will have to check it out!

Mickey waffle...yummo!!! Love the mugs too...looking forward to one of those in a few days :thumbsup2

Decided to pop over to the Dining Section of DIS and found your report ... it is the first dining report I've ever read :surfweb: ... all I can say is "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"!! (i.e. "fantastic, wonderful")

Coming back for more :goodvibes

Maybe I shouldn't be reading this and looking at the pictures before dinner...mmmmm...I'll be back for more....keep it coming!

Great reviews. I love reading about the vegetarian choices. It's great to see what the items look like and hear the opinions on the taste. My daughter is vegetarian and we're looking forward to our trip next year.

But as soon as I poured my iron supplement into the unsweetened iced tea, I could tell I needed to make a drink change to Orange Fanta. Mark it in your trip notes: don't ever mix liquid iron with unsweetened, swampy Florida water! You will lose your appetite. Anywho, I quickly drank the ironed up Fanta (I don't drink pop, so it was interesting!) and off we went on a waiting shuttle to the Magic Kingdom!

When we went a few years ago I tried mixing crystal light packs with the water from the water fountains in the park. Even my (then) five year old wouldn't touch it!
Last year we bought a Bobble water bottle that self filters and used it with the free water from the stands. That turned out much better!!

Hi
I'm veggie and love reading your reviews! I haven't eaten meat in 17 years and can always find plenty to eat at DW. O'hanas had a great veggie dinner for me when I was there. It was rice on the bottom, with tempura vegetables, tofu (which I don't like) and rice noodles on top with a delicious sauce. It was so huge, that there was no way one person could eat it all, so I shared with my friends and they loved it. Can't wait to hear more of reviews!! Thanks!!

I love Mickey waffles, and really look forward to them from trip to trip too.
Hope the iron supplement in the Fanta works for you. Does it taste okay in iced tea at home?
Waiting for next update.

YOur review is great! Thank you for sharing! I'm looking forward to O'Hana's. My family and I have been in the World for 5 years and we still haven't been there. We will be going in October.

Thanks for joining in, everyone!! On this incredibly rainy day, the park was pretty dead, so we thought whichever restaurant we came to next would be our lunch choice. After touring all of Fantasyland, some of Liberty Square and some of Frontierland, we were near Peco’s Bill.
June 24, 2012
Peco’s Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café, around 12:30
Although most attractions were walk-ons throughout the day, restaurants were not! But being a good DISer I remembered the online ordering system Peco’s had, so up we went to order our meals:
Chilled Chicken Wrap with French Fries: $9.39 (pictured in back) and Vegetable Burger with French Fries: $7.59

Wow! This meal has become a staple every trip to Disney and it never disappoints. We love going to the toppings bar and loading our fries with cheese sauce and our sandwiches with grilled onions, salsa and bbq sauce! Yum! Even though I’m not a fan of Gardenburgers, the toppings bar sure helps! We also like the service at Peco’s better than other quick service options. Although the tables are always being cleaned and toppings bar refreshed, the cast members don’t hover around your table waiting for you to finish your meal.
Being the frugal Hoosiers…Buckeyes we are (The Middle…anyone? Anyone?) we went to the bathroom to fill up our mugs with water instead of splurging on drinks. Silly us, we had to drink swamp water again!

Coming up for the day: Tony's Town Square and Main Street Bakery!!

I keep on avoiding Pecos Bill's, because I'm picky about what veggie burgers I'll eat, but I almost want to get one there, just for an excuse to raid the toppings bar. And for plastic cheese. Of all the things I'm picky about, you'd think I'd be anti-plastic cheese, but it's one of my guilty pleasures.

Nice to see a positive review of Tony's. Pecos Bills seems like a great option for both meat-eaters and vegetarians.

I have always wanted to try Pecos Bill's. We always go to Cosmic Rays, but need to try something new. Thanks for the great review.

Sorry I am late but I am joining in now!
I love Disney veggie burgers and the ones at Pecos Bill's are really good :)
You do know that you can ask for iced water at the counter service restaurants don't you?
You don't have to drink 'swamp water' from the bathrooms :)
