World Premiere Food Court, around 8:30 a.m.
We were up bright and early Monday morning to ensure Toy Story Mania fastpasses! While Mom was tidying up the room, I ran to the food court, filled up the mugs with Orange Fanta and Coke and ordered myself a cheese omelet with potatoes. Like always at World Premiere, the wait time was a good ten minutes. So I hustled to the cash register, paid with my KTTW card, got back to the room, ate (Mom had the leftover Main Street Bakery chocolate chip cookie) and we were out the door!
Cheese Omelet with Potatoes: $6.99

This was your standard omelet. Since I normally don’t eat them, it definitely didn’t impress me. It needed some seasoning (herbs, salsa, black pepper…). If we stay at the movies again, I think I’ll stick with an order of the potatoes (delish!) and fruit salad!

Next up: Toy Story Pizza Planet

Toy Story Pizza Planet, around noon
After Muppet Vision 3D, we decided to walk over to Toy Story Pizza Planet.
I had a vegetable pizza combo, with a side salad and Italian dressing (not Caesar dressing because it's usually not suitable for vegetarians) and unsweetened iced tea: $9.49
meatloaf3.jpg

Mom had the kid’s mini meatball sub with grapes and applesauce and a small bottle of water: $5.49
This was a great meal! My pizza was delicious. The veggies were cooked perfectly, the sauce was a little sweet and the bread was not too filling. The salad and iced tea were also super refreshing!! Mom loved her meatball sub, as well. Had she been hungrier, she would have ordered the larger meatball sandwich. We will definitely keep returning to Toy Story Pizza Planet, as we have every trip. The setting is laid back, the food is filling and tasty and the location is convenient!

50’s Primetime Café, 6:30 p.m. ADR
After using our Fastpass for Toy Story Mania, we were off to check-in early at 50’s Primetime Café, a first for us. We waited in the dining room for a few minutes and were soon called to our two-top table. We were seated in the first room on the right close to a TV table. To be honest, I can’t remember the name of our server, but she was great. All I can remember is she was from central Florida. She had a little attitude but it wasn’t overwhelming.
I ordered the PB & J milkshake: $4.99 and Mom had an alcoholic drink: $10.50. I looked through Disboards and Allears and couldn’t find the name of it, but it had to be semi-fruity.

We both really enjoyed our (pricey) drinks but we probably wouldn’t get them again. I’d stick with water and Mom might try the Magical Star Cocktail or Mowie Wowie.
Our server asked if we’d like an appetizer (I was eying the onion rings) but looking at the entrée portion sizes around us, we declined. This turned out to be a great decision! So instead, we ordered:
Spaghetti and “meatballs”: $15.99 and Dad’s Traditional Meatloaf: $14.99-a blend of beef and pork topped with tomato glaze, mashed potatoes and green beans

We both really enjoyed our entrees. Although my pasta was a little too el dente, I loved the multigrain noodles, sauce and vegetarian meatballs. Everything was seasoned perfectly. Mom also enjoyed the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes are her favorite food so she was very happy! The one major thing our server gave her a hard time about was not eating the green beans. I guess while I went to freshen up, she said, “your daughter’s a vegetarian and you don’t like vegetables?!”
Stuffed, we sadly turned down dessert, paid our bill, thanked our nice server and walked to The Great Movie Ride (I think we rode it three times that day)!

Oh I really like the sound of those veggie "meatballs" :goodvibes

We haven't eaten at 50s for years and I didn't think there would be any good veggie options - I'm off to check their menu out :thumbsup2

I was "gone" for a few weeks but glad to see you're still posting ... I LUV green beans :goodvibes ... your pizza looks like it is a little 'lite' on the toppings though popcorn::

Glad that you enjoyed Prime Time Cafe! We are planning to go there on our next trip and your review has really encouraged us to go for it! The milkshake looks delicious! :)

Thanks for the comments; I really appreciate them!

Midday, as we were checking out showtimes, we were in need of popcorn. Luckily there was a stand near the Brown Derby.

Box of popcorn: $3.25

The popcorn was great (not stale) and I love the idea it's vegan! It still had that buttery flavor but it was light and filling. This is an AFFORDABLE, DELICIOUS snack that's great on-the-go! :thumbsup2

Enjoyed reading your reviews. My daughter is a vegetarian and we are going to WDW in Dec. Nice to have some feedback. AND, btw, I'm from IN and like "The Middle" :)

Love the reviews!!!!! Everything looks great!! We love O'hana and Pizza Planet too!

Just wanted to drop in and say I'll be back with the reviews mid next-week. :thumbsup2 Only three more days of food reviews! ;)

Hi
I didn't know that they had veggie meatballs and spaghetti at Prime Time. I always wanted to eat there, but thought there wouldn't be anything good for us to eat. Thanks!! Great reviews!!

Really enjoying your reviews and looking forward to more!

I’m back! These last few weeks have been some of the busiest ever!

World Premiere Food Court Breakfast, around 8 a.m.
Because EPCOT is my second favorite park, I was ready to go this morning! Around 8, I walked over to the food court to get a cherry turnover (Mom just had some Wheat Thins we brought on the plane). I also filled our mugs with Powerade and Coke.
Cherry Turnover: $2.39

This was a GREAT choice! Normally I can never finish a danish because I feel like I’m just eating pure sugar and flour, but this turnover had cherry filling and a light, sweet icing consistently throughout. Although it was a tad pricey, this was a super filling breakfast that actually stuck with me.

Coral Reef Lunch, 11:30 a.m. ADR
Ah! The meal I was looking most forward to-Coral Reef! After touring all of Future World quickly, we checked in about ten minutes early. Throughout our trip (mostly because of the hurricane), we always had good luck with being seating immediately and little ride wait times. However, we waited about five minutes past our ADR time here. This was no problem, though, as a little toddler was talking my ear off in the waiting area!
We were eventually seated AQUARIUMSIDE and our extremely friendly waiter soon took our drink orders. Water for me, Coke ($2.99) for Mom. He soon brought complimentary bread and butter. This was a nice addition, however, the bread was plain…
turnover2.jpg

After double-checking the menu, I ordered the Vegetable-Potato Strudel “with a tomato compote and basil oil”: $18.99
turnover3.jpg

OH MY! This was my favorite entrée of the trip!! The dish was basically a huge, fluffy croissant filled with ricotta cheese, potatoes, veggies and the most amazing tomato puree. Cooked carrots and basil oil were added as the perfect garnish. This was so flavorful and satisfying. Many vegetarian dishes are extremely uncreative, but not this one. I promise even meat-eaters will love this. As soon as our server set it down, I had to take a picture of it. He said, “picture perfect, right?!”
Since my mom doesn’t eat seafood and isn’t a red meat fan, she went with the Seared Chicken Breast “served over spaetzle finished with Applewood smoked bacon - chicken broth”: $21.99

turnover4.jpg

Mom loved this dish! Flavorwise, she said it was the best entrée of our trip! She really enjoyed the great use of herbs in the buttery broth. Of course, the smoked bacon also added another flavor dimension.
Overall, we will definitely return to Coral Reef in the near future. Because there are so many restaurants in EPCOT (such as Les Chefs and Via Napoli!!), it may be a few more visits before we get back to it, though.
Our very friendly, unpretentious waiter offered some great advice on Florida universities and was our best server of the trip! Not only was the service great, but the whole experience of sitting right by the sharks, stingrays, tropical fish, etc. was very memorable, as well! Don’t let the reviews fool you, this is a must-try restaurant! :goodvibes
