Hello Vamp fans...
I think i have to join you..I am a rather newly acquainted Twilight-o-holic....I actually am still waiting for my friend to let me borrow Breaking Dawn ( i finished Eclipse on Thanksgiving).i know i know..a little behind the times..but trust me, i make up for my slowness with the amount of obsession!!! :)

We're counting how many people we "turned" into Twilighaholics... did I convert you or did you read just due to the hype?

I know I was converted by my teen daughter.... now life will never be the same unless "Edward" is said at least once in our house. LOL

I like "Fanpires!" for this pic!

That would have been perfect for that picture :lmao:

Woo hoo! :woohoo: I'm here!

I like this one, got it from a link on Cleoland:

I must admit, I think a lot of the stuff that makes fun of Twilight is actually kind of funny.

Twilight was the 3rd most watched trailer of 2008!
http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/top-trailers-of-2008.html

That doesn't surprise me at all. I know I watched it a few times a day for a good two months or so.

Between my manager, one of my employees and I, we managed to turn another employee into a fan. He loved the movie and he's currently working on the books.

I'm working on getting the DBF to read the books, but he said he is missing a crucial part of the anatomy that allows him to like books and movies such as Twilight

Well, he was at my house this afternoon....looked at lot like DH, but trust me....it was Edward!!! ;)

Is it bad or just pathetic- that as many times as I've read the books and as often as I looked at all the stuff about the movie...

and I still have NOT seen Twilight...

My daughter had to go and get this big award from the governor's wife on opening day- and then of course we had to travel there and back the day after- and then I had to cover all these extra shifts... I thought I'd be off Thanksgiving and would go alone then- but ended up working that night too.

Sigh... soon I'll get to see it soon.

I'm glad somebody else quoted Mel before she edited herself! :lmao:

and I was going to say... what part is DBF missing, his heart? or is there some little known part of female brains that processes romance, that guys don't have-- heeyyyyyyy... I think that's it. ::yes::

You know the saying, about blood only being able to flow to one area of the body at a time???

Oh, my coven... heaven help them all...

I picked it up because DD13's friend at school was reading it; she had been turned on by her older sisters. DD brought it home and I picked it up to make sure it was ok for her to read. Well, we had a few chats about what I don't like about the books-- hmmm, true love at 17 with a perfect man who likes nothing better than to stare into your eyes endlessly... let's talk about what real love is REALLY like, shall we? But aside from talking about it a LOT with her to make sure she has a grip on reality, I happily lose myself in fantasy in it myself. :rotfl:

In truth, I really didn't LOVE it the first time through, in fact I ended up skimming after the baseball game. Then I read the second book and was confused about what had happened, and went back and re-read the first book again. THEN I was hooked. I bought books 3 and 4 the same day, and read them within the week. This was the week before my big trip to Disneyland that I'd been planning for 6 months, and I was suddenly completely absorbed in these books! It was insane! I stayed up to finish BD until 12:30 the night before our flight, because I didn't want to take the hardback on the plane with me! :lmao: I was Soooooo tired when I got up at 5 the next morning!

Now I've got my sister-in-law, my mother-in-law and a friend reading them. So far I haven't seen manic obsession, but none of them are done yet that I've heard.

I've always owned female dogs and we're thinking about getting another dog soon. Would it be wrong to name a female dog Edward? It's the only name that I keep coming up with for our newest family member.

Don't suggest that we get a male dog. The thing I don't like about them is you can accidently hit their hooha when you are scratching their belly. I just don't want that.
