Ok, another movie question I've been wondering about. Do you think after the success Twilight had that they'll have more budget for graphics and in the subsequent movies do sparkly vampire differently. I didn't dislike they way they did it in Twilight but I know a lot of people really hated it.

I don't think they'd change it too much. Consistency is something they're going to want, regardless of how good or bad it is. I feel so torn about the sparkling!! (Oh wow..THAT was a weird sentence! :rotfl2: ) As much as I lol'ed at the fact of them SPARKLING, I wanted it to be dramatic! The way Edward sparkled in the movie certainly wouldn't have really been that noticeable! If I didn't know he was supposed to be sparkling, I may or may not have even noticed! :confused3

oh im sure they will have a bigger budget and I hope they do the sparkles better too...I was definitely one that was disappointed with how they did it:sad2:

Hmm, I'm a software engineer and not a graphics person, but I'd bet they could do it if they found the right director to shoot it. She's actually out of the picture for a good bit of the story until Bella changes and then she looks like an older baby, if they kept her off screen a bit and had the suggestion of her for a while then they could use a little girl.

I'm hoping they use less CGI and find a more creative solution - I'm picturing a jarjar binks Nessie and I'm frightened.
I think they need her to resolve the Jacob/Edward/Bella triangle....so that's my guess. :)

Mee-sa Nessie! :rotfl: I am officially SCARRED! :sad2: :rotfl:

i know that sucked...have you ever seen the movie...Neverending Story?? at the end when they showed the princess she was all sparkly and it looked pretty...now are you going to tell me that a movie that was made in the early 80's had a bigger budget than one done in 2008? and they could do good sparklies back then?

OH, you're right, that was one of my favorite movies as a kid. The sparklies were better.

The issue with Nessie is not just what she does- remember- she grows incredibly quickly and has more adult proportions while still having a child's body. There's simply no way a human could play her in the initial stages. They might be able to get a small five or six year old for the confrontation scene, but even that is iffy. I think they will figure out a way to do it. As long as the movies keep making money. The problem will come if the movies no longer recoup their budget in the box office- like what happened with Chronciles of Narnia which lead to Disney dropping the series.

I'll admit, I've been absolutely pouring over the Hot Topic website looking at all the Twilight stuff!

I hope to god the movies make enough money. Don't scare mr like that. It is people like us who won'tet that happen:) I hope:S

I wouldn't be at all surprised if that happened. Have you seen how quickly kids and teens move from big trend to big trend?? and that's all Twilight is to many of them...the latest hip trend...when they tire of it(and they will) they will move on to something else...It seems like once the excitement of the movie was over, many of them already did...kids and many adults are way to flighty these days and just view things in terms of what's trendy and move on from movies, music, books when stuff isnt' the "it" thing anymore...it makes me sick...

I have hope when it goes to DVD it will spread to a wider (more mature) audience. My older sister (who's 39) doesn't go to movies, but she loves the books. She recently rented Mamma Mia and went crazy over it, has the soundtrack, 2 copies of the DVD, has watched it tons of times. I can't wait until the Twilight DVD comes out - I would think she'd be even more obsessed with that than Mamma Mia.

Sorry if this has been posted already. But I about fell out of my chair!
