I really liked it! This is the problem: There are two more books (Yea! :cheer2: ) HOWEVER... there is a fourth book and it's not out yet.. and then who knows how many after that?? I just don't like the idea of being left hanging. IN fact, I hate it. My DMIL said that after the third one you're really left hanging so she recommended that I read the second one then wait until the fourth one is out and read the third and fourth together. The whole thing just irriates me. I don't like soap opera's or Lost because of this reason! *(I love Lost but STILL.. I'm so afraid they're going to cancel the series and just leave me hanging I almost have a nervous feeling whenever I watch it!)

So, read at your own risk as the series is in progress. popcorn::

There was another book that I really liked that had a scary element to it (not gory or graphic but old fashioned hair raising scary). It's a YA book called "A Great and Terrible Beauty." It's a good one!

I think I will definitely read the Highlander series soon! Thanks for that review WOOKIE!

:lmao:

No problem. She is a really good author. One of my favorite old stand by's is a book called "A Knight in Shinning Armor" by Jude Deveraux. It's a time travel romance. I have read it several times since I was in high school.

OME I love that book! I almost never read "romances" but that one gets me. I love the two main characters-that's a book I've saved on my bookshelf. I also like some of Judith McKnaught's books-my favorite is "Almost Heaven"-they are very predictable but I love her characters.

Travelmel-you crack me up!!! I like you too, even with your excessive bandwidth. Also, you asked what I was reading-I'm reading "Fiery Cross" by Diana Gabaldon. It's the 5th in her Outlander series. I really like it even though it's supposed to be the slow one in the series. Each book is about 1000 pages long so they take me awhile to get through. I had read books 1-4 years ago and just got into the series again after reading Twilight!

I was wondering about the Outlander series..they are a good read i am assuming???? I am reading the Southern Vamp series and have to go to the book store soon, cause i am almost done..lol

kings of leon are a really good southern rock band, their current album is just so great, you should definitely give it a listen if you get a chance.

Based on several recommendations here, my DH bought me the Sookie Stackhouse set. They are different from Twilight, but I kinda like the "graphic adult content" myself!:goodvibes

I also want to see the HBO series, but not having HBO, I thought I would see if the DVD is out and looks like soon they will have the complete first season. Anyone know of the date yet?

Now I want to read the Outlander series. I have several Scottish co-workers and I love to call them up and hear them talk!

I have also thought about setting up a Facebook page to put up pictures of the kids so relatives can see. Now maybe I will so I can have two outlets for the Twilight obsession.

And I am wearing my "I run with Vampires" T-shirt today!!

If you copied Mel's link and used it in your signature, it won't work. If you copied the banana onto your hard drive first, and uploaded it to your own Photobucket account, then it will still work. Mel's Photobucket account has exceeded her bandwith limits and they've taken her images off. If you're using an image linked to her account it won't work. (I hope I explained that correctly.) The same holds true for the badges that Tofubeast has made us. If you're using a link from her account, it's best now to upload the picture to your own computer, then put it into your own Photobucket account and use your own link. This way, the bandwith issue won't happen to Tofu, too. (Photobucket is free and relatively easy to use, if you're just starting out.) Make any sense? :lmao:

Hi gang-
I caught a movie I'd never heard of before last night on Starz- it was In the Land Of Women and I was surprised to see Kristen Stewart in it. She looked great and wasn't even that twitchy. It must have gone straight to DVD- since it can't be that long ago.

I've heard of it and seen trailers, but I haven't seen it yet. It's an independent movie.

I remember see'ing the trailer for that on t.v. while it was in theaters. I wanted to go see it, but I didn't get a chance too. I'll have to put it in my Netflix que.

We need to comprise a list...possibly on BBG on FB, of all these literary recommendations. I have already forgotten half of them. :lmao: Anyone up for it?
Ok, I started the discusstion thread on the BBG FB. Anyway please feel free to hop over and share a good read.

I read it the first time when I was (I think) a freshmen maybe a soph in high school and have read it several times since. Eventhough I've read it several times, the ending always gets the tears flowing. I'll have to call my mom and get the name of the book. I borrowed one of hers and it's a romance/time travel/ mystery that takes place in New Orleans. It was really good, I just can't remember the name.
I really like reading time travel books.

Rosalie's necklace was a pain but i used resin, i made one for each of my 6 friends now i can whip up them no problem ..
OOHHH i wanna see pictures of your bracelet ?

you guys could always design a bracelet and have a blue banana charm in the middle :rotfl:

Sure! I'll take pictures sometime today or tommorow. :)

I've seen them, I love it! :rotfl:
I think that's an awesome idea!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :grouphug:
I'm in!! :thumbsup2

I know what you mean about the tears-I'm always like "Is that guy on the plane really Nicholas??" like I just can't get over him long enough to think he could have found her.:sad2:

Did you read "The Time Traveler's Wife"? That one was a little odd for me but the romance is great. Another tearjerker! That movie was supposed to come out around Christmas but it must have gotten rescheduled. The girl from The Notebook is in that.

Let's just say that there's multiple threads on Twilight Moms debating who's better-Edward or Jamie from Outlander!
Completely different characters but both yummy!:worship:
