What did everyone else think of "The Host"? Worthwhile to read after TS?

PS: Heard the soundtrack last night, and thought several very good tunes!

I HATED The Host. Blech.

I loved The Host. It was a bit hard to get into during the first few chapters, but then the pace picked up and I was hooked. I've been meaning to read it again, but I lended it to a friend and she hasn't given it back to me yet...

OK, if your 16DD has read and loved these books....and this 16DD is not usually a reader......can anybody recommend any other books for her to try?

yes I actually do...there is a series in progress called the mortal instruments and they are by a woman named Cassandra Clare...im not sure if there will be anymore...my dd said something about a new one in march so idk...all of the underworld comes out in these books..vampires, werewolves, demons, fairies etc.. but instead of telling you about them let me give you the website and you and your dd can decide if this is something she will want to read...my dd read them and told me I should definitely read it...for me it started out eh but very quickly it grasped my attention and the main characters are around your dd age...

Hi Lynn! The close proximity to the movie release has me buzzin in the brain.
Plus, I finished the Host and now I'm stumped. No more Stephanie characters to care about. I'm going to try that Hunger book. I just began "The Memory Keepers Daughter" i have heard good things about it. Did you read Secret LIfe of BEe's? IT's great and the movie was very emotionally satisfying.

I read those before Hunger Games, also fantastic books and Jace (the guy) is so hot...
It's a trilogy and the last book, City of Glass, comes out in March. I cannot wait.

He did cut his hair recently. He said he was tired of it being so long and messy, but he hadn't been allowed to cut it.
It still stands straight up when he runs his hand through it though XD

Boo to cutting his hair. It looks so much better longer and all disheveled.

Ohhh thanks for the info!! I just picked up the Vanity Fair with them in it as well, planning on scrapping about Twilight.. pics of us at the movie next week, pics of the book party awhile back, and hopefully pics at the Borders party this weekend.
