Okay, girls I just have to say this (sorry if I offend anyone).


Why does Rob Pattison always look like he just rolled out of bed? He looks ewwww, and dirty and skeezy and ewwwww to me. I am soooooo not impressed (and I love Johnny Depp-go figure)

I think that dirty look is a reallllly good look for him. He can roll out of my bed anyday

I read a quote by Rob that said he never washes his hair!

I saw that too. DBF jokingly told me Rob and I are a match made in dirty hair heaven because I only wash my hair once a week (it's not as gross as it sounds!)

I actually think that he is trying to look that way so he will be seen as someone "different" and more than just a pretty face. He wants to be taken seriously and not as just a sex symbol so I think he tries to look scruffy and unkempt.

It's not working on me though because I still think he is gorgeous!

I don't imagine he is actively trying to look disheveled...I think he just doesn't care...It really seems like he had no idea how big Twilight would be and it was just another project for him. You can definitely tell from his other movie choices that he is in for the love of acting and pushing himself and not for the stardom and the "look"

I was wanting to put a basket together of just Twilight merchandise for her for Christmas and being in Canada I am not seeing any kind of merchandise in the stores. Ordered the calendar from Borders today and just got an email back saying my order was cancelled because of no stock Then I was going to order a bag she wanted from Torrid the bag was $16, but shipping to Canada was $23 Any suggestions would help. Hot Topic has a lot of Twilight clothing. Borders is supposed to be getting replica jewelry and already has tshirts on their website. I also found a site called ETSY.com where people are making Twilight jewelry. Ebay a bunch of stuff (mostly handmade) too. Amazon.com also has a set of Cullen Crest jewelry that's pretty nice. I agree. He doesn't seem like the type of young actor to play into the whole heartthrob/pretty boy stereotype. He honestly looks overwhelmed sometimes by all the attention he is suddenly getting because of this role.

To me he doesn't look dirty though. Just scruffy. And I usually like the clean cut look. With him, any look will do.

I think if you like Anne Rice's you'll most likely like these too. In my opinion they are more toned down but I have loved Anne Rice's and I loved these.

These books are less "adult" and not as dark (in my opinion). I loved Interview with a Vampire and the other Anne Rice books that followed. I think we need to get Stephenie to write an adult version of Twilight. The original is seductive without even trying, I can't imagine how steamy an adult version would be!

I will be seeing Twilight with my 16 year old sister on Nov. 21st at 10:45 AM. She is skipping school to come see it with me! (she's a straight A student and we got my moms OK) We couldn't go at midnight cause my DS is having oral surgery on the 20th & I'm sure I'll be exhausted from having to be at the hospital really early and he might need me at night if he isn't feeling well. DH took the day off from work to stay home with him while my sister and I go see Twilight! I can't believe the day is almost here! I am so excited to finally see this movie!

Stephenie is a Mormon. How steamy do you think she could make an adult version of Twilight? I think the honeymoon scene is about as steamy as she can get without offending the Lord.

The difference besides the darkness of Interview is that Stephenie doesn't write in 300 words that which can be stated in 30.

wow, I am so glad to FINALLY see that I'm not the only "grown" woman who is in love with these books !!

My 16 year old got me hooked on them, and all my friends think I am NUTS !!

After seeing that there are 192 pages full of mainly "grown" women in love with Edward, too I feel so much better !!

I told my daughter the other day that when I die I want to come back as a vampire and have Edwards babies, she said I was crazy !!

we are counting down the days for the movie and I'm sure we'll see it more than once. I can't wait !!!

I am the same way-not a vampire person but love a good story. If you're looking for another good vampire series-try Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire Series about Sookie Stackhouse. It's the series that True Blood is based on. The books are really nothing like Twilight other than there is a human female protagonist that all the supernatural creatures gravitate towards. The books are very funny.

And the ability to hear people's thoughts (except for one), and the shapeshifter, both the vamp and shapeshifter liking the same girl, and the evil trio of vamps, and the ......

I wonder what Ms. Harris thinks about the success of Twilight considering the similiarities of the books?

Yep, I'm reading that series right now. Pretty good.
