TOO funny...

My DD (13) rolls her eyes that I am so following it... ha-ha!

My 14 year old son rolls his eyes about this too but since all the girls he likes are into the series, he's thinking about seeing the movie. I told him if he wants to know what girls like, he should read the books!

My daughter is only 10, but she has seen me read the books twice and thinks they must be great. I told her she'll have to wait a few years till she can read them.
I really hope the movie lives up to the book, I know that that's so hard to do.
Very exited though, I just pre ordered my tickets yesterday for the 22nd. Dragging my husband to see it.

There was a lot of negativity towards the first EW cover, pretty much no one liked it. EW, appologized and said they would do a second cover to make up for that one, and those where the awesome covers we got recently with very lovely pics. :goodvibes

So Robert Pattinson is doing his signing in Dallas today...at 6 pm....I saw on the news this morning that people have been out there since last night waiting...outside the mall...I should also add that we had storms all night...Now, I'm excited about the movie...but that is just too crazy for me...lol

I almost went this morning, now I'm glad that I didn't.

I saw a report from someone on one of the TWILIGHT sites and she said that Galleria let people sleep out all night. That's so not fair since their instructions said in no uncertain terms "no overnight camping" "Galleria property opens at 5:30am with the mall opening at 6:00am"

Way too crazy for me too.

Interesting... as I SO agree with you on the quality of the new ones compared to that first terrible one. Almost made me decide to not read the books... but very glad that I started anyway.

TOO crazy on the mall scene... ack!

News report of last night's SF event:

Ugh, those reporters are very unprofessional...

:rotfl:
Wow, really? Could they sound any dumber?

Regardless, as cute as this cast is, I would not be able to tolerate standing in line for hours just to get an autograph. Nor would I risk life and limb. Now if Rob was willing to give me his phone number with that autograph...well that's a whole other story

After reading about Twilight, I decided I had to find out for myself what they were all about. I've always enjoyed a good vampire story. Well, I must say that I was not dissapointed at all. I read all four books within 2 1/2 weeks and the partial draft of Midnight Sun. I can't wait to see the movie. I have a couple friends that are addicted to the books now as well.

I will say, I wasn't crazy about New Moon. Not having Edward in the book until the end was killing me. I completely understand the reasoning, having to form Bella & Jacob's relationship. I am definately not a Jacob fan. I would get so frustrated with Bella's choices in Eclipse concerning him. But I am more of a fan of the vampire relationship in general. I find the darkness quite attractive. Crazy.

I can't wait until she finishes Midnight Sun. I loved seeing Edward's take on things. I would love to read it from beginning to the end of the storyline.

So, yes another huge fan of Twilight!!

SSB to finish New Moon tonight, and really have enjoyed... but surely agree picked up another notch when Cullens showed up...

I thought well written/expressed the terrible pain that Bella was going through ... ugh.

I would totally go, and if he ever came here things would be even wilder, because people go crazy over everything here. Borders almost had to call security at the BD release party! :rotfl:
But I'm crazy like that and I like crowds. Of course, I he could give me his phone number or a bit it would be even better...I already have his autograph anyway! XD

This thread was horrible, I can't believe I opened it up!!!! ;) ;) Just to let you all know how enabling you can be, I downloaded Twilight Thursday night (about 10 pm) on my Kindle, read through it and then Friday afternoon downloaded the next 3 books to this series. I finished Breaking Dawn at 3 o'clock this morning!!!! I am soooo sad to see the story end, I wish Stephenie Meyer would write a few more books to follow Bella and Edward through the next few decades! I can't wait for the movie. I've never been into vampire stories but after this series I think I'm hooked, any good selections I should read next???

Too funny! Very glad that you enjoyed so much... :) A great series, for certain.

That is INSANE!!!! This is why we arent even going to TRY to go to Chicago to see him, I would be terrified of being ran over!!

Did anyone pick up their ENT WEEKLY today? Is it worth picking up?
Ames

I haven't been able to find it yet and I've looked in most grocery stores - guess I'd better check out Border's or Barnes and Noble.

I also saw this thread and thought, what is all the hype over these books? So, I read all four of them in about a week! Now I am sorry to be done, and I hope that Stephenie Meyer writes more...

If you are interested you should go to EW.com for all the scoop on the movie. They have some great videos and articles. I got my EW magazine and realized I had already pretty much read everything that was in there.

I am counting the days until the movie and my DH is already not too thrilled about it! But, he knows he'll be going with me. And, he'll go to make me happy!:goodvibes

I told myself I was not going to open this thread again until I'd finished all the books; that way I wouldn't ruin the enjoyment of the stories by reading spoilers that might occur.

So WOOHOOO!!! I finished Breaking Dawn last night!!! :woohoo:

But I am so sad it's all over. I tried reading it slower so I could appreciate it more, but there was just so much going on, and I had to know what happened next. I couldn't believe it when something MAJOR happened, and I realized I was only halfway through the book ~ What now??? I tell ya, riveting right to the end. :rotfl:

Disneegrl4eva got me hooked, then I got two friends hooked, at least one of them has two other friends hooked... :lmao:

We're going to see if we can arrange a Ladies Night Out (we're all moms of little ones) to see the movie! :yay:

the vanity fair shoot was done 15 minutes from me, i can't believe they were all so close!!!!!

love the outtake photo's.

oh well they all live in los angeles, maybe i'll bump into rob one of these days ;) , although the rainbow room, where his EW interview was done, is not on my favorite list...its where heavy metal guys (and their groupies) who can't give up leather go to die.
