TWILIGHT vampire book!!!!!

Great to read some of comments here, and just added first audiobook via Amazon for Wednesday delivery. SSB has been through Harry Potter canon (for real) 6 times in a row via audiobooks in my car, (and attended Chicago's Terminus convention) and know that I need to move on to other things... ha-ha! There was a lot of talk of this series at Terminus as one of the books was just coming out then.

I'm dyingggggg to re-read the series but I've just been so busy with midterms and such that I haven't had the chance. I need to though, because I need to finalize my order: it's either Twilight, Breaking Dawn, Eclipse, New Moon or Twilight, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn, New Moon (would be the latter but Book 3 of BD made up for some of the more outrageous stuff).

Brief summary of my Twilight life, since I'm at work and we're closing in 15.

*Edward is teh awesomeness.
*Twilight is the the second book to make me cry (the death of a certain red-haired twin took the cake.....sniff) but it IS the first book to make me shiver and......sweat. Sounds weird, I know.
*BD event in NYC = AMAZING
*Got my boyfriend to read them, hoping he'd love them and bond.......but he was too distraught over the lack of classic vampire things ("They SPARKLE in the sun?!?!") to really love them.

More later, since I have to close up shop here and then run to play practice.......then read Peter Pan and write a paper on it....sheesh

Okay now I am just pissed!!!!! I was sooo excited about this movie but I am not happy about Bella in her undies in the kissing scene!!!! Hello I know this is not the book but she went from jogging pants and a worn out tshirt to a tank and panties. Young girls are gonna see this and that crosses the line to me. I am seriously rethinking seeing it at all!!!!

To be fair, there was one scene in Twilight in which Bella took of her jeans and slept only in a shirt and her undies. Now, I know it's not the kissing scene, it's before that, but more than likely Edward was watching as well. Anyways, I don't think they're panties, I think they are short shorts that just rode up a lot based on the position she is in. I don't really think it's that bad at all compared to other things that happen in the book, especially because I'm 100% nothing else will happen beyond the kiss. Mostly because this seems to me like the moment Bella freaks out about kissing Edward and tries to go for more yet he pulls away.

I have to admit that this bothered me all day yesterday. While I can admit that it looked hot, part of my attraction to this book was that there was all this s*xual tension but it was still relatively chaste and I could share it with my teenage girls. I don't want to see a movie with them where there is a teenager in her underpants with a boy in her room . I'm not stupid enough to think that they haven't heard of this before but I don't want to look like I'm supporting it, ya know? Plus I think Edward would have been shocked-he was enjoying the sweatpants and tatty t-shirt
On a more positive note-how about that Borders clip? It looks great! I logged on to post it ASAP but CP beat me to it. Thanks, CP!!!

Ihave been watching all the clips everyone is posting (thank you so very much) but I am so annoyed at Bellas voice. I dont like it. I think there could have been better choices out there than her. I dont even know who she is but I already dont like her based on her voice. Terrible, huh?

Eh...maybe some of the stuff in the trailer won't be in the movie. They do that; shoot stuff for the trailer that never makes it into the movie. But TOTALLY agreeing with everyone about the underwear. Unnecessary and wrong/not in keeping with the floavor of the book. Wonder how Steph feels about it? And YES they are underwear, not short shorts. They're actually ugly underwear. Grey...granny panties possibly.

Uh, no, I wouldn't. Not if I thought it was genuinely bad. I say what I think, that's that and really that scene did not bother me at all. I like to watch movies for the actual plot, not the people in them.
