Alright Ladies I am really hoping someone will be able to answer these questions for me. A friend and I are thinking of attending the book party the night of the 1st at our local Barnes and Noble. For those who have been before I want to ask a few ??'s
1) we are 25 and 31 are we going to be the only ones this old or feel completely out of place
2) What kind of activities could they possibly have to keep us occuppied for 3 hrs (our local store's party starts at 9)
3) do you have to pre-order the book or can you just purchase at midnight
4) at midnight how long are we gonna wait in line?
5) Is it completely out of control?
6) Is it worth the trouble????
thanks!!!!!
Don't know about B&N, but this is how it happens at Borders:
1) You totally will not be out of place, a lot of the Twilight fandom is composed of women 20 and up.
2) Don't know about B&N, but at Borders they're having a trivia question contest, costume contest and Edward vs Jacob debate.
3) If you're going to the party you should pre-order it, that way you get a wristband with a number and then they call by number to make the lines. However, most stores start giving out wristbands when they open, so if you want one of the first numbers get there early! If you do no pre-order you can still get the book at midnight, however you must wait until all those with wristbands get the book and then you may purchase yours.
4) Lines start getting organized at around 20 to midnight. Usually there are a few lines, color coded with your wristbands. It really depends on how many people there are and your number, I got #270 for the Harry Potter book release and I got my book at around 1:30am.
5) Again, it depends how many people there are at your store. For the Harry Potter release there were wristbands up to #1,000 in my line.
6) I love them. It's a way to bond with other fans and just have fun for a while.
