Oh, another question. The first chapter of BD is in the Eclipse book right, the newer version? I just started reading this series, as it was my book clubs book this month. Now we are all hooked!!! Half the club went and bought Eclipse, but noone has the version with the BD Chapter in it. Are they hard to find?

I was under the impression (pretty sure I read it on Stephanie's site) that none of the Eclipse books had the first chapter of BD in them! I know that there is a special edition Eclipse for sell on amazon but I have a friend who owns it and says it just came with t-shirt iron ons that said "Team Edward" and "Team Jacob" I could be wrong though.

Alright Ladies I am really hoping someone will be able to answer these questions for me. A friend and I are thinking of attending the book party the night of the 1st at our local Barnes and Noble. For those who have been before I want to ask a few ??'s

1) we are 25 and 31 are we going to be the only ones this old or feel completely out of place
2) What kind of activities could they possibly have to keep us occuppied for 3 hrs (our local store's party starts at 9)
3) do you have to pre-order the book or can you just purchase at midnight
4) at midnight how long are we gonna wait in line?
5) Is it completely out of control?
6) Is it worth the trouble????

thanks!!!!!

Well, I am 24 and Dbf (who I am dragging along) is 25 so I am sure there will be older people there. I have no idea what all will be going on, but I love the general excitement that surrounds a book release. I just ordered the cutest shirt from zazzle.com. It has an outline of the state of WA and it says "Forks is for lovers". I had to have something to wear, right?? I would've bought some of the others, but I didn't want to embarass Dbf by wearing a shirt that says "I like my men to sparkle" lol.

The new special edition Eclipse does have the first chapter of Breaking Dawn in it. I have already been to my local Borders Express twice and read the chapter and then I put the book back :rolleyes1 . It was funny.
I have pre-ordered BD over the phone at Borders Express. I'm going to pick it up Saturday the 2nd. The big Borders near me has a cool party on the 1st-trivia games and video clips of the movie supposedly-but I don't have anyone to go with :sad2: . My DH thinks I've lost my mind so he's not going with me!

Don't know about B&N, but this is how it happens at Borders:
1) You totally will not be out of place, a lot of the Twilight fandom is composed of women 20 and up.
2) Don't know about B&N, but at Borders they're having a trivia question contest, costume contest and Edward vs Jacob debate.
3) If you're going to the party you should pre-order it, that way you get a wristband with a number and then they call by number to make the lines. However, most stores start giving out wristbands when they open, so if you want one of the first numbers get there early! If you do no pre-order you can still get the book at midnight, however you must wait until all those with wristbands get the book and then you may purchase yours.
4) Lines start getting organized at around 20 to midnight. Usually there are a few lines, color coded with your wristbands. It really depends on how many people there are and your number, I got #270 for the Harry Potter book release and I got my book at around 1:30am.
5) Again, it depends how many people there are at your store. For the Harry Potter release there were wristbands up to #1,000 in my line.:scared1:
6) I love them. It's a way to bond with other fans and just have fun for a while.

Sorry if the answers are in this thread, but I haven't read it yet. Is this new book the last one in the series? Meaning it will be all wrapped up at the end of it?

And, my friend said she read somewhere where the author said who she wanted cast for the actors, anyone seen that?

i LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Twilight!
and i cant wait for Breaking Dawn to come out, only 10 more days!!!!

Casting has been done for the movie. It's being released on Dec. 12th.

To the best of my knowledge this is the last book. I thought I read somewhere that there were to be 6 books, then read that Breaking Dawn is the last.

Here's a link IMDB for casting info.: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1099212/

Sorry, that isn't what I was asking. The author, had in her own mind, who she wanted cast for this film...she had no say though. Like when she was writing it, she had certain actors in mind. Some of course were too old for the parts by the time it was made into a movie. She wanted Rachael Cook for the part of Alice for instance...the only one my friend could remember.

Yes, it's true. She had her picks for the cast on her website. Here:

Also, Breaking Dawn is the last book about Bella and Edward's story and the last book to be narrated by Bella. However, Stephenie has expressed that she wants to write more Twilight related books but about other characters, more than likely the werewolves.

Thanks for that link Laura! I have to say, I like her Edward better, that is how I pictured him in my mind when I was reading the book...before I even got into this whole obsession and knew there was even a movie, etc.

oh my lord...you youngins worried about being too old there??? ahem Im going to be 43 on Sat. and I will definitely be there...I preordered my book at Borders but Im going there and to B&N that night...Im making my rounds chicas :lmao:

Hey I will be 33 on friday so i am not that young also Most of the people i know who are going to the B&N are older "MOMS"
Happy Birthday if i don't get to say it to you on sat...;)

Where is that calendar available at? that is so cool!!

Thoughts: Well, I LOVED them!!! Since I read them so fast they all kind of blended together so there was never a time I felt like things were dragging (well, maybe a bit when Ed leaves in New Moon).
You calling him Ed reminded me of the line in Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts says, "Does anyone ever call you Eddie?" and Richard Gere responds, "Not if they expect me to answer them." :cutie:

You can get it at Borders only, it's an exclusive of theirs.
