TWILIGHT vampire book!!!!!

Has anyone had any luck finding Entertainment Weekly today with the Twilight cover? I checked Barnes and Target over my lunch hour and both had the July 11th issue with Batman on it.

I can't find it anywhere!! I went to 4 different stores. My local Borders still had the Batman issue of EW out. I asked and was told by the end of the day they will have the new one out. I'm going back and hopefully will get it.

okay i am gonna try to dodge a bullet here, but i Like the cover on EW
edward is beautiful , perfectly pale and undead i like that he still has some of his human traits like chest hair it makes it seem a lil more like he was turned at 17, not a ton of chest hair just enough for a 17 yr old boy
i see the dirty fingernails and to me i picture that is what he would look like after hunting, BUT i do agree they do need to add his contacts in
and Bella she thinks she is plain and average but that is probably How edward see's bella as the most beautiful woman on earth he craves everything about her , and that would explain a lil why Rosalie has issues Just my opinion .... love ya all

I really like your thoughts on the cover. I think you have to try too hard to get there, but once you do, it makes sense.

Are we sure the EW is coming out today?? When you zoom in on the cover it says July 18,2008!

Everything I've read said it's suppose to be today though.

I just think that JAcob is a manipulative jerk. This is PROVEN in Eclipse when he outright lies to Bella to make her kiss him. He basically lies and says either you PROVE you are in love with me or I'm going to kill myself (or allow myself to be killed).

I like Jacob better than Edward! Jacob is only acting his AGE which is a teenager! Edward is how many years older, please! IMHO I do not think she should be with either of them; they are both a hazard to her.

Holy hand grenades folks! If you haven't seen this clip, you simply must!! It puts the film in a whole new context!! The film seems to deviate quite a bit from the book (but since the book is wreitten first person-Bella and the film is not, I am not surprised).

Came in today's mail! Funny thing is that I don't get EW! I thought someone must know how much I love Twilight or maybe it was free from some other magazine I ordered (a trial issue). I flipped right to the articles, read then and only when I was done did I look at the front of the magazine where the address is. Uh ... was not my address! Magazine belongs to a guy who lives on the next street over! I did my best to wipe all the drool off the pages ... hope he's not mad!

That clip definitely paints a darker Twilight concept/universe than I had thought. It went by really fast but there was definitely a scene where (highlight to read...may be a spoiler):
It looks like Alice tears James head off while Jasper and Emmett hold him.

I don't hate Jacob, I liked him in NM and through some of Eclipse, can't blame the kid for trying! I wish him the best, but Edward and Bella have true love in their grasp, to paraphrase The Princess Bride!

I got my EW today and I have to say that the cover wasn't as bad in person as it was on my computer screen. The chest hair bugs me but overall, I think I get it now. The pictures inside are stunning.

Ok, I went back through that last clip I posted and freeze framed. What I put in white DEFINITELY happened. It was SOOOO not in the book and between that a few other vamptastic moments they showed, it paints a whole new side of some of the characters.

As a lifelong fan of most things vampire, I AM a bit stymied and disappointed (for some odd reason) that in Stephanie Meyers vampire universe, they don't actually have fangs.

I'm not shocked by the scene you whited out. That is what Edward said you needed to do to destroy a vampire.

They have fangs whenever they have a need for them or start to get excited. How would they live in mainstream society if they had obvious fangs?

The chest hair bothers me, too. In my head, I always pictured Edward to be smooth chested. I f I were in charge of the movie, I would've had him wax his chest.

I seem to remember Bella and Edward having a conversation about all the vampire myths- she asks him about fangs, and he laughs. So, no, the vamps in SM's world don't have fangs.

Behold!! The speculation can end now. According to the Entertainment weekly article, regarding the "Breaking Dawn" cover art:

he message boards are bursting with dismay, the fans having gotten their first peek at Breaking Dawn's cover. Of course they don't yet know that Meyer herself helped design the image — featuring a chessboard with a white queen piece and a hovering red pawn — or how it relates to the story.

Sooooooooo...the chess piece is the white queen. So just who IS the WQ in the book?? Bella? alice? Somebody new? And whom, is the red pawn??
