TWILIGHT vampire book!!!!!

Oh I LOVE this thread! My friend gave me Twilight two weeks ago and wanted me to read it because, get this, she hated it! She wanted to have someone to talk to about how bad it was.. Well, she gave it to the wrong person because I am absolutely in love with this series. I'm on the second go around of all the books, and just starting Eclipse again.

I'm beginning to think that I am also Switzerland. I can't decide between Edward or Jacob. I am smitten with Edward, but he seems so far fetched at times. Jacob, on the other hand is more realistic- so he comes with more faults. Of course, I want her to end with Edward, but it's also sad to see her give up everything human she could have had with Jacob.

Enough blabbering on, I'm done! But I'm so excited for the movie, and cannot wait for the next book to be released! I put my name down at the Barnes and Noble a few days ago!

Eeek. Maybe just a few more sentences. The new scene looks great! And that magazine cover looks horrible. I'm hoping maybe it's supposed to be a joke, only because we have seen how much better they look in the movie already. But I think Rob is the perfect Edward, and I really like Kristen as Bella.

In the EW cover, I will allow that it's a STYLIZED interpretation of the characters. That maga has done similar stuff with other films before on it's cover, so I can forgive the blue eye. But looking at Rob again, his chest hais HAIR on it. I really hope he waxed for the film. I dodn't picture Edward as being hairy chested.

Also, is Rob wearing LIPSTICK in that picture???

I agree, after a second look it does look like he's wearing lipstick.

And what is up with the chest hair? I definitely think it would look better if his chest was smooth. I had always imagined Edward's skin being smooth like a river rock.

As for the contact issue, ya gotta remember that colored contacts are not perfect. Changes in viewing angle and lighting can change how they look. I remember back when Lord of the Rings came out there was a big kerfluffle with fans over the fact that Legolas' eyes would change from blue to brown in some scenes. I've worn color contacts and it's the lighting people, it's the lighting.

FYI, my B&N didn't take any money either. Just name, phone #, and email. They luckily will have a party and said they expect a huge turnout! I can't wait!!

Oh no! That's not what my Edward looks like at all! I'm going to have to stay away from these pictures until after I've finished the last book.

And why are his fingernails dirty? Don't those people at Entertainment magazine know nobody likes a man with dirty fingernails?

It looks like there is an article about the movie and Breaking Dawn in the issue. The good news is that this movie doesn't even come out for 5 months and it's already on the cover of EW. Yay!
The magazine should be on newsstands tomorrow.

I think this is a good sign too. Hopefully the movie will be a big success and they'll go on to make sequels.

I'm torn between wanting to watch every YouTube clip and read every article I can find, and wanting to be surprised in December. But December is feeling pretty far away right now.

I saw the trailer for the film last week and ran out and got the book Monday afternoon. I had finished by Tuesday after noon and yesterday went and bout new moon. I started reading it at 11:00 last night and finished it at 8:00 this morning (yes, I stayed up ALL night to read it) Going out tommorow to get Eclipse.

Really? I guess Im in the minority here. I thought Edward looked great just as I had imagined (clothes, face, everything) Yes Bell was way made up (alot for the charcter anyway) but I thought she was beautiful and the picture is stunning. I also liked the apple! Nice touch!!

Welcome! December seems so far away. We have a big trip planned to go to DL for the first time ever in November but I'm spending way more time looking up Twilight stuff than DL. I know, sacrilege, right??
