I just started the first book tonight and am addicted!! I need to get to sleep.. but I want to read it!

I am going to be at the Breaking Dawn concert in NYC, we may see if we can still get into the nearest Barnes and Noble and get the book early, if not I have a copy coming in the mail.

I just ordered Blue Bloods myself, I can't wait to get it!

I really liked Blue Bloods. I believe book 3 is coming sometime this fall.

DD gave me Wicked Lovely and Ink Exchange to read over the weekend. Just finished up last night. Not vampires..but faeries this time..all and all..pretty decent reads.

Almost forgot..I read both Vampire Academy and Frostbite last week too. I liked both a lot, BUT, I was pretty irritated at the overuse of the "F" word in what is supposed to be YA genre!

We just got back from our local B&N where we went to pre-order 2 copies of Breaking Dawn.

I was SO disappointed though! When we got to the cashier we asked about the release party..and he was all..I really don't know..I don't think it's much really! Soo... he then called over the manager who said..yeah..not really much to it..there won't be a big crowd or anything..it's not like it's Harry Potter!!!!


WHAT??? Is this guy a fool or just insane??? They OBVIOUSLY have no idea..

They also didn't charge us anything for the books...just took our name, phone number and e-mail address. Is this standard for a pre-order?

I'm really wondering if we should check out our local Borders instead.

Oh no! That's not what my Edward looks like at all! I'm going to have to stay away from these pictures until after I've finished the last book.

I now refer back to my post on the previous page where I stated that EVERY promo shot and every scene in the trailer makes the actors look like different people...as though the cast somebody different for eachpicture/scene.

I don't get this picture AT ALL! It's certainly not flattering of Rob. It's really a shame too because he can look quite Edwardesque sometimes when they're not trying too hard.

And Kristen is way..WAY too glammed up. That is not Bella..not even close!

I realise that this is a magazine cover, but you would think since it is promoting a first look at the movie, it would at least be consistent with how they look..in the movie!

that's all our B&N asked for as well...they used to do a $5 deposit, but I guess not..I'm not sure I'd check into Borders if I were you, ours isn't really doing much at all(and if the "party" for the final Harry Potter was any indication then this will be bad...we expected a lot from their Potter party and there was hardly anything at all..then we heard how amazing the B&N party was and WISHED we had gone there...)

Hello DIS folks. I'm a hardcore Twilight fan as well who has been lurking on this thread for awhile.

This magazine cover brought me out of lurkdom to say... what on EARTH were they thinking? Stephanie Meyer has the cover on her website so I can only imagine it's real, and final. What a terrible, unflattering picture. Are they really going to make Robert that pale in the movie? I get that he's a vampire, but there is sexy pale, and there is bizarre creepy pale, and I think this picture went with the wrong one. And why is Kristen Stewart all glammed up?

Not impressed. I'll still buy the magazine, to be clear, but not impressed.

On the MTV website, they have lots of Twilight info, interviews with the stars, etc- they said that the actors that play the Cullens all wear amber colored contact lenses.

My point exactly and if you look at that picture you can see Robs blue eyes...no contacts in that picture. And its obviously been photoshoped so why not photoshop they eyes as well?

Don't give up on the movie yet. I really think this is more the fault of whoever was in charge of the Entertainment Weekly photo shoot than a good idea of what we'll see in the movie.

Well, it's not like EW is known for being anything but one step up (at most) from a nasty tabloid zine. But I totally agree...what is up with this cover? Ewww! "Edward" looks like a nasty drunken homeless loser, and "Bella" looks like a fruit-starved harlot! Not flattering in the least! Hopefully the powers that be will realize that they still have 6 months to make things right. Let's hope so.

Just saw this on YouTube..don't know how much longer it's gonna be there though!

It's very poor quality..and still a little jumpy..but it's still a new scene...so YAY!!

Just stick with it..the new scene comes a few seconds into the video..
