:rotfl: I think they will do a pretty good job at cleaning up that eyebrow;)

Check this video out from the movie Vanity Fair - Robert cleaned up quite well:thumbsup2 Though ignore the fact that Reese is playing his mother :( lol

YESSS! That, my friends, is Edward! Yayyyy!

Ok, if he's from Chicago 100 years ago, how would he talk? I'll venture to guess, his parents came from England? IT COULD HAPPEN ;) . Bella describes his speech as formal or old fashioned.

Thank you for that video. I'm sold! :lovestruc I'm just embarrassed that I could have birthed him! Maybe I did? The 80's is a blur. (JK!!!!)

You're Welcome. To tell the truth I wasn't sold until I saw that too. He has some very striking features when he is all cleaned up:)

Don't think of Edward as 17 think of him as 117:rotfl: That is the beauty of being a vampire -an old person that stays young forever:thumbsup2 Us mom's are only human - nothing wrong with enjoying a little younger eye candy - LOL And Robert is over the age of 20 so it is ok to look - LOL

I loved the part in Midnight Sun where Edward is trying to get his classes changed and he can hear the older secretary's thoughts about him - Made me chuckle;)

Thanks for the video! DD asked for Vanity Fair for Christmas so she'll love to see the alternate ending!

I guess I cheated because my daughter burst into the room when I was only about 30 pages into Twilight and announced that "Cedric" was cast as Edward. So (in my head) he has always been Edward and rightly so. I think he'll do a great job.

But again, I think it would be totally cool if Carlisle, Esme, and Edward all had English accents. The rest of the family seems more American to me.

RE: reading the older secretary's thoughts: I was thinking just today....wonder if someone COULD really hear your thoughts? So let's keep it clean, people!

I haven't read the rest of the thread, but was anyone else very dissappointed in the last book?

I don't want to give anything away, but I'm sick of the way the story is been drawn out too long. IMO

I'm a HUGE vampire fiction fan, so maybe I've just read too much other really really good stuff to want to stick with the story that doesn't want to end?

I've never read them but all my friends are obsessed with them. and Edward. I don't get it, what does everyone like about him? they tried to explain it to me by saying he's "edtastic" we all like to make up words. lol.

Does anyone here read the Dark Hunter series? Not exactly teen appropriate, but was wondering if any ladies here enjoy them like me.;)

Yes! :thumbsup2 DH is WAAAAAY better than Twilight, but like so many of the adult series, it's just getting to formulaic for me. You should try The Black Dagger Brotherhood, Larell K Hamilton's Anita Blake books, ummmm I could go on forever. (I'm a librarian and I actually have a huge list from a presentation I did on all the different Vampire fiction series).

He's the stock fiction character of a tall, dark and handsome man. he's articulate and brooding and complicated--all things real men aren't! :thumbsup2 (Just kidding!!!:lmao: ) Not to mention older and sophistocated especially to the 17yo Bella. (Who I'm beginning to seriously dislike).

NP he is "Edtastic"! :thumbsup2

I do absolutely love how all the teens are really getting into these books. They are so much better written than a lot of the stuff out there that the girls really like (like Gossip Girl--which makes me want to burn books )

i think that in most people's minds they have made the characters the way they think they should be, just off of description , so some drool a lil bit more than other's
i have always been interested in vampires but i also love the werewolf too so i am torn:confused3 but, i think a vampire is just a mystical being and can be represented in so many different levels, (kinda like a unicorn) did that make any sense sorry if it did not and it is all babble,;) i am still fighting a horrible cold.....

You're Welcome -:thumbsup2

I wouldn't mind the English accents either. I really had it in my mind too as I was reading the books so it wouldn't be too far off for me.

:rotfl: Yep we all need to think clean thoughts -:lmao:

Cool - I have to look into the Dark Hunter series - I just picked up the first book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and am looking forward to starting that one:)

Thanks for the video link. It does help a bit. I'd already read the books when the announcement on Edward came out so I'm still trying to reconcile the face with the character. I'll vote for the English accent too though. I thnk it'll work and hope they go with it.

My good friend used to be a HUGE fan of Hamiltons books. He stopped reading though because he said they began to REALLY start to delve into romance novel territory. ;)

Yeah, The past couple have been on the flat side. I am REALLY looking forwarded to her novel all about Ash. :cool1:

Oh! They are MUCH better now. Her fans actually protested the way the books were going and so only 2 or 3 of them are really bad. The last 3 or 4 have been VERY good.
