Thanks for the video link. It does help a bit. I'd already read the books when the announcement on Edward came out so I'm still trying to reconcile the face with the character. I'll vote for the English accent too though. I thnk it'll work and hope they go with it.

You're welcome I think Robert will do well in the role. It is just so hard to make everyone happy because everyone has their own image of the characters. I hope that we start to hear about the casting of the other roles soon.

OMG..I just squealed out loud when I saw this thread!!! Seriously my two loves the Dis and Twilight!

DD begged me for months to read this series because she was just so in love with it. I finally gave in, and now am completely obsessed myself!

I read all three books in a week, and am just counting down the days until August for Breaking Dawn. I just keep re-reading until then..

I've got where I stay on the Twilight Lexicon boards as much as the Dis, and that's saying something for me. Stephenie Meyer posts some on the boards over there too which is AWESOME. Especially when she gives "extra" little bits!!

Anyway..DD and I both are TOTAL Edward fans, and we both are very
happy with the choice of Robert Pattinson. LOVE this pic of him..

He's Canadian..not Native American, but his name had been thrown around a lot as a suggestion for Jacob. I do believe he may be too old though..

(Forgot to mention my daughter's name is Bella. So that's going to be weird...)

Yeah..I think he would make a better Eclipse Jacob the the younger "boy" of Twilight.

He plays Tim Riggins on Friday Night Lights, and yeah..I'm not quite old enough to be his mother, but there is enough of an age difference that it makes me feel a lil naughty just the same!!

Welcome to the thread. Did you check out the group Twilightmom's that UtahMama posted? It looks like a pretty good group for us slightly older fans

I read the books to see if they would be ok for my niece and loved them- I hope that my DD will like them when she reads them - she is working on the Harry Potter series now. I figured next year when she starts middle school she may get into the Twilight series.
