TWILIGHT vampire book!!!!!

I loved the twilight series, although I though New Moon was not as good as Twilight and Eclipse. I too am a Jacob fan. Edward is a little too "cold" for me lol. Great series.

I'll give these a try, thanks!!

I'm currently on book 5 of Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire series and they are ADDICTIVE. I first read her Harper Connelly series (about a woman who can detect bodies), but apparently the Southern Vampire series is her signature series. And it's being made into an HBO series starring Anna Paquin called True Blood.

Thanks for the info. I've seen the Southern Vampire series books and I was thinking about starting them. I'll need to pick them up now. The HBO series sounds interesting! I really need something to replace my Buffy/ Angel fix since they are not on anymore.

I love the Twilight series, even though Bella irritates the snot out of me.

Christine Feehan also has a Vampire series that I LOVE. I am looking for a new book so THANKS!

Thats it Wendy! You just made me break down and order them online.

Great I start school next week and now a triology is on my hands!

Ok, I can do this.

You know this will cut into my dis time!!!!!:rotfl:

I bought Twilight for my DD18 for Christmas thanks to Wendy's recommendation. DD rolled her eyes a little when she opened it as she is a bit of a book snob.

BUT.

She loved it and immediately went out to buy New Moon and then Eclipse!

For the record, I am NOT a fan of vampire books at all! I really consider these books to be more of a supernatural teenage love story mixed with the ongoing battle between good and evil. In fact when put like that it sounds kind of silly but they really are page turners!

I read Twilight last week and am almost finished with New Moon. If you get the books, make sure you don't have anything scheduled for the next few days. ;)

What in the name of Sam Hill is going on here?
I came over to this god-forsaken forum looking for Disneydad, and I see a Utahmama thread. With, a lot of my favorite people contributing.
And they are talking about BOOKS!

One of my favorite things.
I even had a book once. But it's holding up the rabbit ears on the tv now.

Twilight, huh? Does that mean nobody is reading "Go dog Go anymore? Or the Velveeta Rabbit?" But I still have to finish Half Blood Prince before the movie comes out. Ok, I'll keep an eye out for it, really, I mean it. I like children's books. Like I said, still reading Harry Potter, don't look at me in that tone of eyebrow. Just wish I had all my Hardy Boys back. ok, resume.

I love this series.
I got the second book, New Moon, for Christmas and I CANNOT WAIT until Valentine's Day, which will probably be when I get Eclipse.
I also cannot wait for Midnight Sun to come out.

And I can't wait to see the movie.

2 of my kids started reading these last year and love them. I'm mid way through the 1st and really enjoying it. Now my problem, dis or read?

I'm a big fan too! I actually got the suggestion here a couple of months ago and quickly read all three!! Anxiously awaiting the next in the series!

They defintiely get you worked up - suspenseful, slightly scary - definitely keeps you reading!

The author did a great job!

NEEEB! I've never seen you out and about (oat in a boot) around the DIS> What a lovely surprise.

Now, I've read Edward's version of Twilight's chapter one and it is smoking good!

I'm also glad to see so many other vampire books out there too. I had no idea! I loved Interview and Queen so maybe I should check out the others.

I really like Twilightmoms.com (a discussion forum like this, but small) there's a fanfic section and amy16's is really good. (I haven't really read any others).

I totally need a good book series to tide me over. I heard there's a new un-numbered one to the Janet Evonovich mysteries called "Plum Lovin'" or something like that. Janet is a HOOT! Love Ranger...

OH!!!! Dear, I forgot to tell you Twilight fans! Me and my friend Spongemommie05 (Misty) made our version of the Bella bracelet!!!!!! It has a howling wolf and a swararski (sp???) crystal heart! The one on the Stephenie Meyer website is really expensive so Misty found all the stuff to make them off e-bay for CHEAP. The bracelet needs a red ribbon in our opinion. I'll have to post a photo of it - when I get my computer back. It's not easy with my son's laptop.

My 14 yo DD has 'devoured' these books.....pardon the pun! ;) I got her the first one for Christmas and she did nothing but read for the next three non-school days! Now I guess I'll have to read them. too!

HOLY SMOKES! It's a Nebo sighting! And he admits that he once actually READ a book. Nerd!;)

Thanks!! I'll be sure to check out the website!

Also please post a pic of the bracelet when it is done! It sounds really cute!

Ok, ok, you people got me interested enough in this series to order the first one to read myself! I am getting it from Amazon on Wednesday!

I am so glad that i read these books, (they kinda changed my life) i love how when i was reading it was just "me time" instead of always "mommy time" i am hooked and can pick them up and read them over and over again and it is like i am reading for the 1st time .
it was fun to get swept up in a series and i applaude Stephenie for having the talent and sharing it with the world...;) :lovestruc :worship:

DD loves the series. She devours them. I found a copy of Twighlight and bought it last week. I can't wait to start.
