Will this be in operation during Feb, or is it a seasonal thing? If so what exactly are its opening hours.

Twighlight check in is open all year round. You can check in between 15.00 and 21.00 the night before your flight.
It really is the best way to do it - we did it on our way a few weeks ago and we were the only people in line at around 18.00.

A word of warning

The twilight checkin actually closes at 21.00 on the dot and if you happen to be in the queue at that time then its tough!

This happnened to us due to a delayed flight down from Manchester. We literally ran across Gatwick only to arrive at the check-in at 20.58, followed by several other couples from the same flight. Unfortunatley there was a couple already being checked in and by the time they had finished it had gone 21.00, at which time the system apparently shuts down automatically.

I shall be informing Virgin that if this is the case then they should advertise their Twiligth check-in with a suitable warning.

Needless to say I was not a happy camper as the whole idea of coming down from Manchester the night before was to take advantage of this facility.

Thanks for that tip, it is our plan to drive down after work the evening before and to use twighlight check in, hopefully we will make it before it closes
