TV Psychics Lisa Williams and John Edward

I went last night in Charlotte NC. I did not get a reading but the ones who did were really emotional. You can get on her website under blogs and some of the people who did get a reading has left some reveiws. It was great. I will go back to see her again. I was just wondering if someone has seen her during this tour so we could compare the readings to make sure they were not duplicates. I don't think they were but you can never tell.

I did post a review on here, as I saw her on Oct 21 in Norfolk, VA. I am not sure if y ou were looking for other reviews besides mine;)
Did you get to meet her at the "meet and greet?"..That was my favorite part.

Watch the episode of Penn and Teller's program on talking to the dead. Sometimes they have member of staff listening to what people say sometimes they have mics to listen. If you watch them they get a lot of the answers from the people without them knowing how much they are giving

I recently saw and met Lisa Williams at a conference in Tampa. She was absolutely amazing. No questions asked of the audience, all she would say is that I have "Bill" here or I have "Daniel" here coming through with "Sarah", etc. She would let people raise their hands if they recognized the names. Then she would go back to "Bill" or "Dan" and say "Look, I have 4 people here claiming to know a person with your name, you are just going to have to be more specific for them so that they know it is you". Then she would tell the audience what they told her so much as who other relatives were, jobs or hobbies that they had, etc. At no point did Lisa ask any questions of someone from the audience. It was absolutely amazing. After she was done she did book signings and I had her autograph mine and get a pic with her. I asked her about the spirits being around all the time and how does she deal with all of it. She told me that she puts on a piece of jewelry that "signals" that she will be speaking with them and when she takes it off no one appears to her. She told me thats how she maintains some sanity! She was a doll, plenty of hugs and lots of talking to you....she was in no rush and I must say I really enjoyed meeting her.

I know, isn't she just an amazing person? I know people question her, as well as others like her. Honestly, if you dont get a reading, it is hard to really know for sure. We did not get a reading, but like you, she did not ask the audience members any questions.

I loved meeting her at the meet and greet, she is just such a warm, loving type person.

I've been watching her show whenever it is on. I really like her and would love to meet her. She does seem to be so down to earth and warm.

Just got new cable service so I got to watch John Edwards for the first time. He also is pretty good from what I can see. Not as "warm" but good.

I was very impressed with Lisa Williams from what I had seen on TV, so I was very excited to be able to attend her show in Easton, PA last night and get second row seats. It's funny, the show was exactly as you described, right down to her starting out with a man named "George" who was pestering her and began the show (somewhat curious or maybe scripted?).

I must say that I was somewhat disappointed in the live version. I'm still not 100% convinced that she's not for real (at least I'm hoping she's not duping all these vulnerable people), but to me most of her readings were overly long and dealt with a common theme of generalities such as rings and necklaces, liking what people had done with their hair, they're ok and they're happy, etc. I also felt there were a lot of fishing questions that elicited a lot of blank looks which then morphed into something else till she got a hit. Many of the people seemed desperate to make some connection and seemed to go along even on vague "hits." Some of the readings did seem more detailed, but overall left me a lot more skeptical than when I walked in the door. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt that it's more difficult to hone in on things with over 500 people in the audience, but am now looking at her with a more jaded eye.

The most disappointing part of the evening was I brought a friend who had suddenly and unexpectedly lost her husband 2 weeks before the show who I had not spoken to in over 4 years. Through bizarre circumstances (show being postponed to a later date and person supposed to be using the ticket not being able to go), my last phone call was to this friend, at which time I learned of her loss and her accepting the offer the day before the show. She had never heard of LW before. I was at best hoping for a reading for her, but just overall hoping she would get comfort from other readings. She left entirely skeptical, and quite honestly, if it was my first time ever seeing or hearing about LW, I would have too.

I did a search for Lisa Williams and this thread came up so I'm resurrecting it once again. We saw JE in Orlando last year spring break while we were there on a Disney trip and thought he was great. We are scheduled for a psychic cruise with Lisa Williams and John Holland in Oct/Nov. I just found out she is actually coming to our hometown in December so having 2nd thoughts about spending so much to go on the cruise when we can see her at home. (Maybe a Disney cruise would be better!? LOL) Anyway....I have enjoyed all of the stories and wanted to thank everyone for posting them.

As for those who say JE and LW take advantage of people, I don't think they hurt anyone, if anything they give people hope. I don't expect a reading, and have never had a personal reading, but I truely enjoy watching the process.:thumbsup2

As some of you know, I've been a professional wrestler for over 25 years. Many years ago, before the business "came out", this same type of conversation was engaged about how "real" it was all the time... Of course, the Internet was not an option for such debate, but it was regularly had at bars and over water coolers.

Did the guys know who was going to win back then? Were many of them friends, who just pretended to hate each other?

Of course...on both counts. - It seems silly and blindingly obvious to all of us now, but back then, with guys in the business selling it hard as being real competition, many people believed to some degree it was all real.

I bring this up because, for me anyway, these folks like Edwards and Williams are the "real" pro wrestlers of today. They're really good at putting themselves over as genuine, when it's all just a well-orchestrated act. These people are actually quite talented; just not at talking to dead people, but instead making live people think they are.

Again, this is just my opinion, but I've watched them and don't have any problem seeing through how they pull off their "readings". I believe people like Criss Angel are much better at selling other-worldly powers than psychics and those who chat with the dead.

I doubt the psychics- But... I did just recently experience something very odd. Last week, my daughter and I were to take a trip to visit my parents (we drive there cause it's 6 hours away). The night before we are supposed to go, I have a werid anxiety thing- I stayed up all night. I'm scared to go. I've done this trip (just me and my daughter) at least 5 times- cause my hubby was military. Never felt this way. My hubby thinks my anxiety is due to the fact we had a minor car accident 2 weeks before. I think maybe, cause although no one was hurt I was really shaken up by it. So, my daughter and I go the next day to visit my parents. It's a good trip.. UNTIL:
my daughter and my niece were playing; my daughter was spinning her cousin in a chair and her cousin fell off and into a glass shelf and almost severed her right ring finger at the first knuckle (luckily the surgeon saved it). Needless to say, this really shook me up. What am I saying? I don't know but I'm grateful my niece is okay. Although my anxiety level (which is always a bit high) is now skyrocketing. My hubby is very concerned about me- I feel guilty since I felt like something bad was going to happen... Werid.

I've enjoyed your stories and have watched both mentioned entertainers on TV.

I totally don't believe them and I tend to think they ask leading questions to narrow down whatever it is they are going to "discover."

But, I am happy to hear they've given hope to people. I do like JE's message of talking to people in your life now instead of waiting to contact them after they pass.

The reason you don't hear of people saying they had a bad reading is that they continue on until they hit on something. The next time you watch John Edwards keep track of what he does. He tends to start with someone, when that doesn't pan out, he suddenly moves on to the person sitting next to them or behind them and then the "spirit" or whatever was really for or is Joe and not Joan, even though he "hits" on one of two things that rings true for Joan.

I really wanted to see JE in person because I wanted to know for myself if the show was edited to make him look good. After the live show I can tell you its really not.

At one point in the Orlando show he says, ok this is going to really put someone on the spot, but I have a group of spirits here and they aren't going to let me go on until this is done so I'm just going to say it. Someone up in the balcony has found a lump in their breast and is ignoring it. It took a while for the woman to stand up but he just said, we can't move on until this is done, they aren't going to let this go. Finally she did stand up and he told her more stuff and basically told her that they want her to go in, that he isn't saying it is or isnt anything bad but that its treatable if she is proactive and they want her to know that. I suppose skeptics would say she was a plant.

My question to you is, whats so bad about believing, what does it hurt?

I've been to a few psychics up in MA. My first time was amazing. The woman sat me down, and even before I said anything, she looked at me and said "If you would just clean your room more you and you're mother wouldn't fight so much" Right before I went to have the reading, my mother and I had a fight, and she yelled at me for going out when my room was such a mess.

I'm also a firm believer in "ghosts" as I've had enough unexplanable experience that I have to believe. Either that or I'm completely insane. Which might be nice. Get me a nice padded room. I could use a vacation. :cutie:

I wouldn't say she was a plant as that's not how I think he works. I think that if you are in any given large group of people, (mostly women, I'm guessing?) that one of them found a lump or a bump. You say he kept on it, of course he did. He would have continued to talk until someone stood up. It would have started as a lump in the breast. After talking about it and if no one stood up, then it would have been, oh, let's just say, a female medical concern. Then then on and on getting less specific until someone stands up.

There is NOTHING wrong in believing at all. I just worry about how much it costs for a ticket and how charlatans used to be run off by a gun-toting sheriff. He's just so good at it, I can totally see how people believe in his gift. And like I said, I'd glad he uses his powers for good and not evil.

(I'm an agnostic by the way. I tend to believe in science and such.)
