Has anyone had dinner here, in the Italy Pavillion? If so, what was your opinion of it please? I'm thinking of booking it for DH and I during our April trip. TIA

I read some positive reviews of Tutto Italia here on the DIS. My DD (24) had dinner there last night and wasn't impressed at all (she can be a little picky at times). We're from the NYC area and the Italian food here is great so I'm sure she was comparing what she can get at home. There were 5 other people in her party including my DS (20) and I haven't talked to him yet. I don't know whether she didn't enjoy what she ordered or if everyone else wasn't happy either. Once I talk to my son - I'll post again with his opinion of Tutto Italia.

Went to TI last October. Although we really enjoyed our experience, it was not as good as some of the small, family owned restaurants in Chicago where we live. The food was really good. Don't get me wrong. Like NY, Chi-town has a large Italian population and some really exceptional places. Some really awesome highlights were: the FRESH mozzarella and tomatoes; assagini - always like an appetizer for free; copetto sotto bosco - heavenly cream - nice and sweet, great dessert; and the Muscato de Asti dessert wine. These were the highlights for DH and me.

My friends from Louisiana thought it was all great, but they don't get as good Italian down there.

You MUST go try the Muscato de Asti. My buddy said, "just give me the bottle and a straw and I'll be in heaven!" Even if you don't normally like sweet wines, this is worth a taste.

We ate there in December. A party of seven and everyones opinion was the same - The entrees were terrible. I have had better frozen pasta dinners then what we had there. One in the group had the pizza and the pizza at Pizza Planet in MGM was 100 times better then this pizza.
BUT the appetizers and desserts saved the meal. They were all fantastic! We loved them all.
We were all thankful that we were on the dining plan. If we had paid out of pocket we would have been even more disappointed in the meal.

I spoke to my DS and DD again and they both said that not one of their party cared for Tutto Italia. I guess my daughter wasn't being picky after all.

I went with three of my children and we had a wonderful experience.
We had good food, but the service and hospitality were outstanding.
Our waiter was Pasquale. And he was a doll.
My 20-month son was acting up a bit, weary of eating in restaurants for a week. He wanted to sit under the highchair or stand in it.
Pasquale and the other waiters--I think most of the servers were men and the hostesses were all women--stopped to play with him or put him in the highchair or tell him to sit down. In fact, they were so sweet Zachary continued to misbehave to get their attention. He enjoyed it and watched for them to walk by him.
The fried cheese on the kids' menu looked great. I didn't get much of a taste, because my 7 and 9-year-old daughters refused to share. It was four decent-sized hunks. But older daughter has food touching issues and hates red sauce, so she was upset when it was plated on a little bit marinara. After she soaked her napkin wiping it off--I didn't see her at first--they happily brought her a sauce-free appy. (She had already ordered her entree with no sauce and meatball on the side--it was no problem.)
I had ravioli on Pasquale's recommendation. It was good. Better than Olive Garden...but no cute Italian waiters there!!!
I had originally booked a meal the previous Saturday night, but my cousins' plane was delayed and rerouted to a different airport that night so I had to cancel to pick them up. When I cancelled, at the podium earlier that day, they easily rescheduled me for the 26th at the same time, 7:45 p.m. It was full, but both times I was there they were accepting walk-ups.
We would not hesitate to return. But it was crazy expensive. Better be on the DDP.

Aren't all of the waiters handsome? A restaurant where you are assured to be served by a smokin hottie.

L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante to me was the best. I have not tried this one yet and I am very hesitant to do so. After looking at the menu and reading the reviews, I am not impressed. Bring back the "Fettuccini Alfredo" :rotfl2:
