Hi

Planning to go here on the DDP in May with dd(14) who is a vegetarian. Spotted one or two things on the menu - one being Penne Caprese (is this just pasta in a tomato sauce?) Pomodoro sauce is something I have never come across before - is this vegetarian? If all else fails they may do spaghetti in a tomato sauce for her or maybe we can pay OOP for the kid's menu - I notice that they have a pizzetta which looks OK - whether it is large enough to feed a growing 14 year old, I don't know.

Hi,

Pomodoro is a plain tomato sauce, no meat.

Caprese usually refers to the combination of fresh tomato, mozzarella cheese, and basil.

Enjoy your trip!

Pomodoro means tomato.

Caprese actually means in the style of Capri -- usually a Salad Caprese is basil, tomatoes, mozzarella, I believe.

I'm sure when you go there they can suggest vegetarian entrees to you - many vegetarians visit WDW, I don't think your situation will be unique to them.
