Tusker or Flame Tree?

Only one day of our June trip for AK. I have narrowed CS lunch down to these two. Please help me avoid flipping a coin. Whichever place gets the most thumbs ups in this thread will be the choice.

I would go with Flame Tree. Last December my family and I went to the Tusker House and it was horrible and the worst meal we ever had in WDW, plus their service was also slow. I think I am the only happy person that it's turning into a buffet restaurant in the future.

We have been to both. Tusker has A/C and in June its a nice place to cool off.

We like the food better at Tusker. The Salmon and rice is yumyum, and the girls like the chicken leg and mash taters.

Both are good and its just a matter of taste buds, but the A/C helps on HOT HOT days

I love Flame "Tree, but this will be your only chance for Tusker, so if you go more than once a decade, you might ought to try it.

In early Sept. is was so hot and humid that even though I wanted to eat at Flame Tree we ate at Restrantsaurus just to cool off.

Flame Tree has the most delicious BBQ beef sandwiches. I'm planning to have one on the 27th when we go to the AK. Try to get a table near the water if you can. It's really a very tranquil spot.

A table under the shade by the lake even during the hot months is usually bearable enough to warrant FT. Food alone for us, FT wins hands down. But we love BBQ. Even tho DS does like the children's menu chicken leg over mash potates and grapes as a side at TH, he LOVES our normal order of a rib entree and a chicken entree with a side of seasoned fries at FT and the three of us have more than enough food.

Tusker House is our absolute favorite CS in any of the parks! The wraps are great, the chicken is wondeful and the corn chowder is the best I've ever had! Since they're changing soon, you should absolutely try it now, while you still can.

My vote goes to Flame Tree. The BBQ is fantastic and the beans and onion rings are wonderful! You can't go wrong with this one .

It was their turkey wrap that I had which tasted horrible, however I will say the only thing good there was the corn chowder soup.

Tusker House was great on our last visit. All meals were delicious, and chocolate cake was the nuts...also they are closing Tusker House soon to move Restaurantasaurus there which will make it a TS Buffet, so this could be your last chance to try it.

I've heard good things about Flaming Tree BBQ, and we will being trying that next trip (Since Tusker House will be closed by then.

I didn't really like Flame tree but I will say I am not a huge BBQ fan so that may have been the reson.

I really like Tusker House and being indoors is a plus!

Flame Tree. The Barbeque is really good for the money. Grab a spot out back around the water and enjoy yourself. A Expedition Everest backdrop doesn't hurt.

I had planned on going to Tusker House at the end of August. They are closing for good on 8/20/07 so I will miss out. Guess it is Flame Tree for me too!!

Thanks for all of the input. It sounds like both are good options.

Due to the responses, I will go with Flame Tree.

However, if the family is suffering from extreme heat, we may opt for the A/C in Tusker.

I love Tusker House!
Its a must-go to every trip!
And my advice would be that you eat here before it becomes a buffet.
Flame Tree was good too, but I prefer Tusker House.

We ate at both 2 weeks ago. Flame Tree was MUCH better than Tusker House. This surprised us since we had been looking forward to Tusker House. Eat at Flame Tree it is excellent.
