Turn the Bus Around and Take Us Back to Disney! *COMPLETED*

Just want to let you all following along know that I will not be posting the next update for a few days or so! :(

But it's because my PP+ cd is on the way!! It was shipped yesterday! Yay! I really want to wait for those photos otherwise the update will just be text heavy! The very first thing we did in the park (or person we saw, I should say ;) heehee!!!)was only captured by PP, so you'll really miss out without the photos!

I am however already typing up all the updates so they are ready to go! So as soon as the pics come I swear I will upload them that moment and probably have a few updates at once to make it up to you!

Hope that makes sense!! I just want everyone to experience it the best I can make it!!

Love you all- thanks for following :) <3

I can't believe your PP CD is already on its way. :dance3: Can't wait to read your next updates. Good idea about writing them up before the pictures arrive (good for us since we won't have to wait) :) I am sure you are enjoying reliving your trip.

Also, about your previous post about the "angry eaters" I agree that those who don't plan do not enjoy their vacation as much. I think that is what is nice about the dining plan too, it forces you to stop and eat so you get a little break. Plus if you have done your research you know where you should eat, how to use FP (or that you can use FP) and you know you won't get to do EVERYTHING so you are not as worried about fitting everything in and are not spending a ton of time waiting on line.

I'm pretty sure that most first timers are not ordering groceries and renting strollers to be delivered to the hotel but I can imagine that having those things was a great benefit for your family and made your trip a little less stressful (besides the actual stroller delivery ;) )

Heehee- yea I'm on it! I edited the PP pics right away when we got home and ordered that sucker!

Your dead on about the non planners- research pays off!

We hardly used our groceries though- I have away and came back with a lot, next time ill just order a case of h2o through amazon and pack a few snacks!

Sounds like a great start! Both of your girls are just too cute! I can not wait to see more pics of AoA! I LOVE the Tangled towel! In the pic of Olivia in front of Ursala, she looked just like Rapunzel:)

That is reassuring to know that my obsessive research and planning isn't just madness. I'll be vindicated in 33 days!

Hahaha.... Yes, yes you will - and it will be :woohoo:

D~

Heehee, Maddie has the Cinderella towel that matches but she wouldn't keep hers on for a picture! I got them online at Kmart for like $10!

I haven't seen Art of Animation yet, but I'm really excited to. It looks like such a great resort.

Ugh, a non-working fridge? That stinks! And upside down plugs? That's a bit on the bizarre side.

Glad that the actual dining experience and food was good. Screaming group of people though? No thank you. I may have said something to them. And that likely wouldn't have been the wisest choice. :lmao:

I can't wait for you to get that cd and get this show on the road!!!! I am craving some pasta bar right now, thanks to you. We were gonna stay in the royal rooms at POR and I heard aaaaaalllllllllll about how good it is.....now we've changed to CSR but we still might make it to a make your own pasta meal:thumbsup2

The girls are so cute!!! I can't believe that they still wanted to go swimming that late though. Kudos to you for letting them, I probably would have said no........but that's cause I'm a mean mommy who goes to bed early hahahaha:rotfl:

Yea, fridge was a downer but luckily they fixed their mistake so quickly so they somewhat redeemed themselves there..

I honestly would have said something to that awful group but they actually seemed a little dangerous, like they might start getting physical that's why we left so quick, yikes!

Me too!!!! Everyday at mail time I'm rushing out to see if it here yet!!

My hubby and I are thinking about POR royal rooms for next time if we can't swing the Poly! I heard they're nice. But CSR will be awesome!

Haha, I would have just made the hubby take them swimming if I couldn't muster the energy!! Lol!

The build-your-own pasta option at AoA sounds great! I think we're gonna walk over there from Pop to try it one day!

Ugh that group sounds terrible sitting near you. How could they be so horribly angry in Disney? :confused3

Omg that Rapunzel towel is adorable. I kinda want one lol:rolleyes1

That is what I understood about the pool at Pop too. It was still open later but it was considered "quiet time" and clearly, no lifeguard was on duty!

Oh goodness that Ursula looks extra HUGE with your daughter next to her!

Hah, yea you should def check out AoA if you're at PoP! They're just too close not to explore!! Also no key entry to pools, just in case ;)

Oh my gosh....I am sooooo sorry. How did I not know about this TR?? Okay, I'm joining in now. Going back to read. :surfweb:

**********************************************************************

Okay, all caught up. Wow Terri...I have to say, I had tears in my eyes reading about your excitement that first day. Disney just brings out the best in people and I am so happy you overlooked the couple "bumps in the road" and just enjoyed being there.

Can't wait to read more!

No worries! Your here now!!! I've been following yours as well..stinks we never got to meet, but there's always next time!

Wait for our first day at MK- talk about tears!!! Gosh I was emotional!! :)

Guess what arrived today?!?!!!!

My PP+ pics!! Yayayayay!

When the baby wakes up from nap I will be adding them to my updates and posting some for you today! ;)

Meeeeep! Meeeeep! Meeeeep! Meeeeep!

That was what I woke up to on this glorious day! Normally I HATE waking up to an alarm (who doesn’t) but not today! Today I was going to see the epitome of Disney, The Magic Kingdom! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Fyi: I do know about the wake up calls from the characters but we were too tired each night to call and set it up! Next time!

Words simply cannot express how joyful I was this morning!! I sprang out of bed like it was nothing and started getting myself ready. Once I was done Chris was already up and getting ready and he took care of Maddie. I woke Liv and she got herself dressed and I finished with her hair.

We grabbed some bagels for Chris and I, and some cinnamon raisin toast for the girls, along with some bananas and we were ready to head to Landscape of flavors again!

I had already gathered our bags for the park last night, so they were ready and waiting in the stroller. Most of the trip we had 2 bags, one that acted as a purse/diaper bag and held all our important stuff, and one insulated one with bottled waters and snacks.

We made our way to the main building, and stopped off at the front desk first. They took literally only one minute to scan our cards and activate our Magic Your Way package on them. So we ran over to the food court and grabbed our mugs.

Yummy coffee for Chris and I, and hot chocolate for Liv became our morning routine. We threw all our breakfast goodies into the toasters and were done with breakfast in about 10 minutes. The rooms were a little trek back, so we decided to just hang onto our cups for the day.

Cup rant, go!
One thing that really bugged me on this trip was all the stuff I needed to carry, specifically the cups. No one wanted to walk all the way back to our rooms to return them everyday, and we wanted to take coffee’s with us, so we ended up having to carry them around in our bags and 7 cups take up lots of space! Blah, by the end of the trip we pretty much stopped using them because of the inconvenience. Also to be noted…they did “activate” our cups because of the new RFID chip in them, this is supposed to make it so you can only get drinks from your resort, however when Chris inquired about how that works with paper cups and so on, the CM told us that it wasn’t even working yet, you could still get drinks at any resort. He stated that just having visitors know about the RFID and “activating” their cups was helping to deter the issue. Blah! When I inquired as to why Disney would be so stingy, I was told that it was actually the soda company (Coca cola) that had the issues. So there is that. He also said eventually the paper cups were to have RFID’s as well…seems crazy to me, but whatever!

Anyway, so onward…the rest of the crew met up at breakfast and soon we were all ready to go! We got to the bus about 7:30, which was the time I told everyone we needed to be at the buses each morning, so go team go for making it happen! I had no doubts, my fellow travel buddies were just as prompt as me! Yay!

The MK bus pulled up almost immediately and we walked right on!

Poor Chris, he had to stand on the bus nearly every time with the stroller… 

Obviously, I think we were all BEYOND excited when we passed this lovely sign!

Then we started catching our first sights of Space Mountain, and Cindrella’s Castle!!!! I kept telling Chris, gah, who knows how many times “I can’t believe we’re here” and “it doesn’t feel real!” He just nodded and agreed every time. I think we were all in awe.

Getting through the gate took no time at all, and I received many more ‘Happy Birthday’s’ during that. Going through the turnstiles was easy-peasy and took no time at all.

Woohoo! We’re at Magic Kingdom!!!!!!!

We waited for some time here. My thinking is that I wanted to ride the less crowded buses early and end up waiting for 45 minutes to an hour at the park for it to open, than to come later and be stuck in a crowded bus behind a crowd of people. For me, the tradeoff was well worth the waiting! And ya know what? It worked. Every time. We would arrive at the parks, no people hardly at all, take pics, set ourselves up at the entry and by the time park opening rolled around we would be among the very first to enter the park, every day! I highly recommend it! The kids did awesome with this routine.

Today, being our first time ever we stayed planted right in front of the welcome area, instead of waiting by the gates to go in, because, duh, we needed to see the welcome show perfectly our first time!!

During our wait we took some pics in front of the near vacant welcome sign and Margo and Laci went to guest services to get their Guest Assistance cards. Bob also did some exploring and took Olivia on a walk to keep her from getting to antsy.

About 10-15 minutes before the scheduled opening time of 9am the Welcome Show began!

Boy, oh, boy! It did not disappoint! I was literally in tears balling at this show! I was just overcome with the magic and the joy of being here with my girls that I was a fountain. Thank heavens everyone else was watching the show, so no one, except maybe Chris, noticed my water works, not to mention my huge sunglasses I got to hide behind!

I can’t put into words the happiness I felt when the train pulled up with Mickey and the other characters. It was a simple show, but emotional, still. The girls loved it and Maddie kept pointing and saying “Mi Mouuuuuu” which is her way of saying Mickey Mouse! She was entranced! Both girls loved the show and the fireworks that accompanied it!

Sorry I didn’t snap a single photo, because I was too bust enjoying the show!

Before we knew it the Magic Kingdom was declared officially open and we were passing under the train station!!

What would our first stop be???!!!??!?!?!?

Up next, The One Where We are in Awe

Hold on to your hats, this is a long one and VERY photo heavy! ;)

Well our first official thing to do in the Magic Kingdom turned out to be…

MEETING THE PRINCESSES!!!

I figured since we wouldn’t have to wait in long lines for rides at all, our strategy each morning would be trying to meet characters before lines got long there! I asked Olivia before this day who she wanted to meet first, Mickey or Princesses, of course, she wanted the Princesses!!!

So we parked the stroller and easily found the line, after about a 10 minute wait we were next in line for these gorgeous ladies!!!

Love this face, like she can’t believe she’s standing before a real Princess!

They were all so sweet, Olivia was totally smitten! She was adorable interacting with them, and we caught all of it on camera for her to watch and listen to one day. Both Aurora and Cinderella asked who was the bravest of her kingdom, or who her prince charming was, and both times she answered “my daddy!” It was just beyond. That’s all I can say.

Rapunzel and her also had a nice conversation about her first ever plane ride, and what color her castle was back at home (white!) We definitely picked the right thing to start off with doing, because this was just beyond magical!! A perfect start to Disney for us!!

Tip Time: I didn’t realize in the town square theater is the main PP booth, where I needed to get my PP+, so I passed it up, thinking I would find it later! Boo me, I was right there!! Gah! So if it is your first time, stop in and pick that sucker up first!! 

After the Princesses bid farewell to us we made our way down Main Street and caught our first view of this stunning beauty!

Getting closer…

And closer…

That happens to be like my fave pic! I really wish Olivia were in it too, it was so adorable, totally frame-worthy!

Again. No words.
I was basically already on sensory overload here. I didn’t know where to look. Here was the Castle, looking all magnificent, and then all the wonder of the details on Main Street USA!! I know I must have missed so many things on Main Street, but it’s hard to tear your eyes away from the sight before you, what can I say?

We found our first ever PP Photographer and hopped in line to grab some castle pics. The lady we had was very nice! Bob even talked to her for a short bit, because she thought he looked like her neighbor!

And she got some wonderful pics of the family as well!!

After our short stop we continued on making our way to go through the Castle! That was amazing as well! The details. Oh, the details. Disney sure does detail right!!

Oh, and I basically had to stop and take a photo of the castle at like every single angle imaginable…don’t mind me…

I pointed out the BBB and Cinderella’s Royal Table as we passed, and called out “I’ll be back” in my mind. But for now, we were on our way to New Fantasyland!!!

Next, The One With Our First Ride!
