Turn the Bus Around and Take Us Back to Disney! *COMPLETED*

Joining in. I can vouch for lost items with the AoA crew! We had some issues too.

Our first WDW trip was to AoA cars and we enjoyed it! Can't wait to hear more.

Sorry about the stroller and fridge. What a way to start your vacation. But, at least that's out of the way and you can just enjoy the rest of the trip, right? AoA looks awesome so far! We have plans to stay there when we go in 2017 with friends. I can't wait to see all your pictures of it!

Really enjoying your report so far, looking forward to reading more

Thanks all! It was a small hiccup and I can say that not much else went wrong so Ill take it! ApA was amaze balls! Ill post more tomorrow!

Thanks to all the new joiners! Love my readers! :)

The check-in of AoA alone looks so magical. I need to stay there one day.

Great view from your room! Yikes the stroller and fridge situation was not cool at all. Almost an hour to deliver a stroller seems a little ridiculous. :confused3

Yay!!! Can't wait for your next update... We spent a little time at AoA this trip - and I have to agree, it was AMAZING! :thumbsup2

As we walked to the food court it was already dark outside and about 8:45 in the evening. We passed a movie showing in the Lion King area, too cool. We were way too hungry to stop, so we trekked on.

It’s about a 6-8 minute walk from Little Mermaid to the main building, not too bad at all, unless you’re late for a bus, as we learned.

When we made it to the food (yay, finally,) I sought out the build-you-own pasta, already having done my research and knowing what I wanted. Chris strolled around to look at his options. I had already thrown my buttons on, and received my first ‘Happy Birthday’ from the guy starting my pasta, so my mood was back to magical at this point.

Let me just say that the pasta bar is SO AWESOME! First you start at the cold station; you pick your pasta, meats, veggies and sauce. They throw the meats and veggies in a bowl and pass it down to chef guy. Chef guy then cooks the pasta and sauté’s in front of you. They have some crazy method that cooks your pasta super quick, in like a minute right in front of you. So they then toss it all together, and sauce it and pass down to bread girl. Bread girl (or guy) asks if you want cheese (duh!) and cheeses it all up before slapping on a delicious piece of garlic bread! There was a small line when I got in and the whole process took me about 8 minutes. :cool1:

I got pasta for me and the kids and headed off to find Chris. We went to pay and found out the kids pasta meal comes with 2 sides and a drink, so we had to go back to a cooler and pick and then head back to pay again. For all 3 meals and 2 drinks it cost about $35. Chris paid with cash and we went to find a spot to sit. There were plenty of open tables to choose. Once all settled I informed everybody that no one could start on their food until I got photos from here on out.

So I ended up with bowtie pasta with chicken and shrimp, sauced in pesto and alfredo. The girls shared the spaghetti with turkey meatballs, with chocolate milk, yogurt, and chocolate pudding. Chris got a surf burger (?) which was basically a burger using a giant crab cake as the patty, and fries.

***Let me just take this time to apologize for the seriously bad food photos, there were many moments on this trip where we dug in before remembering to take a photo and many times like this one when we were so starved I snapped a phone pic quickly and it didn't turn out the best in my haste! But still, enjoy!***

I, for one, can say the pasta bar was AMAZING! I loved it so much, and the serving was HUGE! All the in-laws got pasta as well and there were zero complaints. Bob seriously couldn't believe that starting tomorrow a meal like this would be covered on our DDP! He also couldn't believe that it counted as a QS meal! Chris was thoroughly amazed by his meal as well and he was jonesing for it again all throughout the trip!

First meal turned out to blow our expectations out of the water, especially since it came from a glorified food court! Unfortunately by the time we were almost done with our meal, a very large group sat down beside us. They seemed to be having some MAJOR issues and began screaming (like realllllllly screaming) horrible things about killing one another, and cursing and all sorts of hoo-haw. Chris and I were done so we gathered up the girls and told the rest of the group we needed to get the kids outta there and we would meet up with them at the pool.

Talk about eventful! So we headed with our very full bellies back to the room and to change into our suits and head to the nearly deserted Little Mermaid pool! I was so happy and relieved to find a smaller mini fridge hooked up in our room when we got back! Yay! No ice chest! We moved our groceries over and were totally happy about the promptness in handling the situation. We were pretty tired from our travels at this point but we knew Olivia had been looking forward to swimming all day, so we decided to just make it a quick dip.

Pool hours are listed as 6am-11pm, however there is another sign in the pool area that stated from 11pm-6am were quiet hours, so no splashing and being loud. So basically, the pool is always open! You just can’t be loud after 11! Good to know! ;)

Also, I just want to say that I LOVE these clotheslines they have in the showers, so handy!

We swam for about a half hour, and the rest of the group joined us as well. When we were done we headed up to the room and everyone showered and got ready for bed. The beds are only full size (boo) and pretty small compared to the king size Chris and I share at home so we decided to sleep separately and rotate Olivia out. Tonight she slept with Chris and I got a bed to myself! In no time at all my three loves were out and I stayed up a bit longer to unpack everything, and get all our things ready for the next day. I also had to recap my day and get it all logged! I started my nightly ritual of posting a few highlight pics of the day and soon enough, around midnight I was off to dreamland myself.

Tomorrow we were headed to The Magic Kingdom, and I could not wait!
:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Coming soon, The One With the Cutest Photo Ever!

Loved the update Terri!!! The girls are adorable in their bathing suits!

We did the pasta bar at POR this time - and it is run the exact same way... I dont' want to give up any details here - but I agree - a definite MUST DO!

Bummer about the loud annoying people next to you - thankfully you were finished eating and could leave.

Awesome about swimming- we did not get to swim nearly as much this trip - which bumms me out... I wish we could have... I am tempted to see if we can get a pool view room next time, just because it would be so nice to be near to it and we would use it more, I think.

Hahaha... I thought about taking a photo of our clothesline too... Ours was ALWAYS loaded... So badly that we had to hook it to our shower curtain to take showers. And once the items were mostly dry - we'd move them to our closet rod... I was super happy to have that clothes line though - I don't think I remember it being there on our last trip... Well, I remember it being there - but I did't realize what it was. It would have been very useful then too.

Can't wait for your next update!

D~

Again i cannot say enough about how adorable your kids are... WOW Ursula is HUGE!

What did you think of the pool? Did you hear the underwater singing and talking?!?!

oh oh i am so excited to hear everything!!! Thanks for the food pictures.. I am starving and could use some carbohydrate heaven right about now...

OMG The girls look so cute in their Minnie suits and the little Rapunzel towel.

We are staying at Pop but I think we will try to get over to AoA. Maybe on our first day for lunch if I can get everyone up VERY early. That hotel is amazing. Those rooms are beautiful. Maybe I should price out the switch but I am worried about the walk or if it will mess up my FP+??? I really love all the details.

Ummm why did the fighting family choose to sit next to the family with two little kids?

the girls look so cute in their swim outfits! I showed our youngest (maddie!) the picture of Ursula. she said "woah.....that's a huge Ursula!" looks like a great first night. did you hear the singing and talking under the water? that sounds like it'd be so cool!

Thanks!

I think I got in the pool twice this whole trip, both very brief, but I don't care for swimming much anyway.

Those clotheslines are too cool. I don't know what it was at first either! Glad I decided to pull the string to find out!

Ursula is huge!! Olivia would comment bout having to wake up and see "Ursula's big booty" every morning!

LM pool was awesome, nothing spectacular but always so calm and deserted. Most people went to Big Blue Pool, but I never felt like walking that far. No music in LM pool! :( I thought I'd read that there was but the lifeguard told me it was only in the Big blue pool, so poo!

Hmmm...well I can tell you the price wasn't a big difference for the LM rooms from POP. But I don't know how the FP+ would work. It probably would mess you up bc I think they're only doing it at certain hotels? I know we didn't get to, but the POP people were when we were there.

We actually visited POP one afternoon and browsed and ate over there! We were so jealous of the wristbands they all had and the fun accessories you could buy to customize them at the gift shop!

The walk is not bad between the 2, so I'd stay put and just venture over and walk around an eat at AoA if it were me. I will say the meal I had at POP was my worst of the whole trip :(. Wasn't impressed at all. Except for the dessert ;)

Yea- those ppl that sat by us, I think they were a group, not family and I think some were special needs so maybe just some anger management issues?! I'm sure it stemmed from lack of planning! I can vouch that all our plans or to a pretty stress free trip so I am willing to bet most fighting and grumpy ppl weren't as prepared!

Haha! I'm glad Maddie got to check out the pics!! Our Maddie was quite impressed! TONS of photos of the resort will be coming up on day 3! So stay tuned!! I mentioned to someone else how Olivia had to comment on Ursula's big booty every morning! It was what we saw everyday after we got out if the elevator!

No music in LM pool! :( I thought I'd read that there was but the lifeguard told me it was only in the Big blue pool, so poo!

Just want to let you all following along know that I will not be posting the next update for a few days or so! :(

But it's because my PP+ cd is on the way!! It was shipped yesterday! Yay! I really want to wait for those photos otherwise the update will just be text heavy! The very first thing we did in the park (or person we saw, I should say ;) heehee!!!)was only captured by PP, so you'll really miss out without the photos!

I am however already typing up all the updates so they are ready to go! So as soon as the pics come I swear I will upload them that moment and probably have a few updates at once to make it up to you!

Hope that makes sense!! I just want everyone to experience it the best I can make it!!

Love you all- thanks for following :) <3
