TTC thread take 2

So, after two years, countless ultrasounds and meds we have done it on our own! I got a POSTIVE this afternoon when I tested!

I really didn't know when to expect AF because I stopped tracking in November after our failed IUI attempt. I wanted to make sure I was safe to drink while we are in Las Vegas this weekend - guess I won't be drinking!

The worse part is I can't reach Paul! He is in Vegas in meetings and hasn't answered his phone! I think I am going to explode!

CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm so very excited for you.

So I had a blood test today and the RE office called to tell me that my number was low. It may not be, I don't have an exact day when AF came. Now I am freaking out a little bit. I did schedule an ultrasound for 1-25 because they should be able to see a heart beat at that point. Crossing my fingers!

will they do a 2nd beta to confirm that the number is rising? (because we all know it IS!)

Hi Everyone! I'm back! All went well this am! I have 2 embies and I even got a picture! It was really cool to see it all. The whole speculam part was difficult because I'm crooked. But once we got situated all was good and we were laughing at the end which in a way it should be right? Well, now I'm sitting down and relaxing and hopeing for the best. I'm going to enjoy this time for now

I think I may have to hide in your suitcase


Well...I went to the Dr today and apparently the fibroid I have got a little bit bigger. Ughhhh My Dr didn't want to remove it when I had my laporoscopy to remove one of my tubes because it is not in my uterus or petruding in..but on the outside of my uterus and felt at the time it was more of a risk to remove it then to leave it as he didn't think it was a problem.
I started my Lupron shots tonight and am getting scared that this stupid fibroid is going to cause me problems with IVF. If I don;t get pregnant with this IVF, then he said I will have to have surgery to remove it and wait another 6 months after that.
All I can say is I am not getting any younger and I feel like my head is spinning.

Thanks so much for your great thoughts! We are so hopeful right now and still trying to keep a good grasp on reality. I don't want to give up this feeling though I'll deal with it if we have to but for right now I'm enjoying my time!

The body has miriculas ways of adjusting itself! Unfortunately our bodies tend to take their own sweet time and need a little help Think positive and we will be thinking positive for you! No one is getting any younger, and that is scary, I know, but for now put that aside, if you can, and concentrate on all the wonderful things that WILL happen! We are here for you!

Try to stay positive! My good friend had a similar situation and was all prepared for the worst when her beta started suddenly rising and now she has a beautiful 17 month old girl. Fingers crossed for you!!!!

So I went with g-ma out shopping and found the cutest wool skirt! I went in to try it on. It fit, but it was kinda short......

It was a mini! And it looked great! I, Gabbie, can wear a miniskirt now! At my age! (34 in April)

I'm pairing it with a cute faux fur black blouse I bought and tights with boots for Valentines Day!

Sunday, January 23rd, 11 days from transfer so now I'm at 9 days! They are supposed to call me today to tell me how many I'll be able to freeze. Sitting on pins and needles for that call

Staying positive! It's all I can do while trying to still grasp reality. It's a thin line as you all know.

Well, reality calls and off to find Meg's phone charger!
