TTC thread take 2

ugh, obviously I was still writing my post when you posted this

hmm bowl of sugar? That is the funniest one I've heard yet!! (Censored for the DIS eh? ;))

LOL. No really, I wish I could. I always used to munch on candy when I was down, but now with my sugar level, it's sugar free stuff for me.

Well, I took an HPT test to make sure and saw the two words I am really beginning to hate most in the English language: Not Pregnant. :sad2::mad:
Followed only by "Guess who is pregnant again":headache:

Well, the wicked witch showed up for me on Sunday. So, I had my day 3 ultrasound this morning. Sooo much fun! Now I have to wait for the Dr. to call and say i can start my meds for this hybrid cycle.

Thanks for all the support! The waiting game is the worst part. I'm just trying not to worry about it until my annual exam next month--sort of a "mental break" from thinking about TTC. I'm not sure how well that'll work though, lol.

welcome to the group! My DH and I have been TTC about 20 months and have been seeing a fertility dr for nearly a year, so very similar here. Feel free to elaborate on what y'all are planning. No need to share anything you're uncomfortable with, but I find this group to be a great support. And of course they all love Disney ;)

Thanks for the friendly welcome! DH is on medicine to get his count up. It was 2.9 million before, and after the first month it is up to 3.7 million. It may take up to three months to work, and we're hoping it does! If it works, we may be able to do IUI. The Dr. said we would need to get his count up to 10 million for that to happen.

I didn't have any known fertility problems during the first year of TTC. But with all of the added stress, as all of you well know, I stopped cycling altogether. My tests came back normal, thankfully! Last month, I started on Provera. 10 days after stopping the Provera, AF finally came (and boy did she roar after 5 months with no cycles!)

DH and I are realllly hoping we can do IUI!! If it ends up not working out, we will consider IFV with PGD (preimplantation genetic diagnosis - the Dr. recommended this due to some severe medical conditions on DH's side) or adoption.

Welcome to the group! :goodvibes Sharing our experiences allows us all to learn but more importantly as Cheri said we have a great support goup here!:grouphug: Hopefully your stay here is a short one!

Thank you! As time allows, I plan to read this thread and learn about each of your stories. It's so nice there's a place we can come to and share our support during the process. I'm kicking myself that I didn't find this thread sooner!

that's great that your DH is on meds. Just so you know, if it doesn't quite get him up to 10 million, that doesn't mean IUI won't work. Your odds are obviously greater with more of a count BUT one of the girls that was on this thread got pregnant with a washed count of 100,000!!! Yes, I did mean to put only 5 zeros. God can work with what you give him :goodvibes

girls, I got the call. It's tomorrow at 1 pm!! I have to get there at noon and start drinking water to fill my bladder

Then the transfer happens! Pretty quickly, and then after an hour or so laying there I will be released to go home on BED REST for the rest of the day.

I'm nervous...and excited...and :faint:

hmm...are you testing more than once a day? You might have a short surge and could possibly have missed it. Did they ever start getting darker?

I've been testing only once per day (first thing in the a.m.). I think next month I will consider doing twice per day in case of a short surge. I'm using Clear Blue Easy and it only gives you the smiley face or empty circle. I never even though to look at the lines on the test strip after you take it out! :rotfl: DH and I started BD every other day starting at CD 12 so even if I may have missed it on the OPK we still can have success! It's just nice to know when ovulation was so that the dreaded 2ww can start!
I had been doing BBT, but it wasn't really that reliable for me; in the sense that it would go up, down, up, down. I would think I had the shift and then it would go down again for a few days. I was totally over stressing and getting frustrated, so I decided to just stick with OPKs for now.
