It's been a while since I've updated y'all, so I thought I'd let you know what's happening here at our house these days.
I took the Provera the doctor prescribed, and they said to give it up to 2 weeks to work and bring on AF. Just as I was thinking it wasn't going to work, AF arrived. I was quite happy, as it seemed like things were "getting back on track," so to speak.
Well, it's now been another month, and AF is late. I know this sounds dumb, but I've been putting off taking another HPT, as I don't want to look another negative in the face. Plus, I keep thinking AF will show up any day now. As of today, it's been 45 days since my last AF.
Here's the thing though. I don't know if I want to take Provera again since my annual exam at the GYN is late next month. I'm concerned that if I take it now, they won't be able to get accurate results on my hormone levels from my blood work. And I'd like to determine where on earth AF has disappeared to rather than trying to force her each month with Provera if we can avoid that.
I think I'm going to take a HPT on Monday morning, then call the dr's office to see what they want me to do. Maybe they can work me in before my annual for bloodwork, then go ahead and give me the Provera after that or something. Does that sound like a decent idea?
And in other news, one of my co-workers has just started TTC. So now that she's tried for exactly 1 month, she's a fount of information on how to conceive. Argh! I'm trying to remember how excited I was when I first started TTC and give her a break, lol.
