So, how does it work? Does MK do 4th of july fireworks on the 3rd as well?
Does Epcot do an amazing 4th display? I'm trying to get dining ressies scheduled according to fireworks...getting confused....I guess the main question I have is , do the fireworks run all week? (the "special" ones)......any input is very much appreciated...

IIRC correctly the parks only do the 4th fireworks on the 4th.

We were at the Epcot for July 4th 2012 and the fireworks were spectacular, well worth going. It's a packed crowd with locals on top of travelers so don't expect to ride a lot of rides. Not quite as crowded as NYE but close. Get yourself a table reservation or two so you have a way to sit inside out of the heat for awhile.

I haven't been in MK on the 4th.

The special Independence Day Fireworks MK show runs on July 3rd and July 4th.

The special Independence Day Fireworks Epcot show runs only on July 4th.

Yes the MK fireworks on the 3rd are just as good as the 4th ... Same show a day earlier.

The Epcot fireworks on July 4th are spectacular and definitely recommend seeing them on the 4th and MK on the 3rd.

We've seen the Epcot fireworks from the patio at Rose & Crown twice and it was so amazing the first time we just had to do it again. We made our reservations about 7:30 pm for the 10 pm show.

Last year, the MK did a slightly reduced 4th of July show for the entire week as part of its Limited Time Magic promotion. Other years it is just the 3rd & 4th.

I'm doing MK on the 3rd and Epcot on the 4th this summer. When we were there a couple years ago we did MK on the 3rd and DHS on the 4th... I do not recommend DHS on the 4th. It just wasn't a great show and the park really does not handle the crowd well for it.

MK does an AMAZING fireworks display on the 3rd and 4th.

The MK fireworks can be seen FOR FREE, from the beach of the Poly (very crowded - get there early). The music is piped to the beach crown from barges. The Poly might be the optimal viewing spot. The fireworks are shot from locations along the Seven Seas Lagoon between the Contemporary and the GF.

I haven't seen the EPCOT fireworks on the 4th, but the MK version on the 3rd/4th is by far the best display I've ever seen.

So you could see both fireworks displays.

This is the first I've heard of it. I though this year MK had 3rd and 4th for the special fireworks, and Epcot and DHS had the 4th only. Last year was Limited Time Magic and they did it all week. Do you have a link to your source?

That was true of LAST year (2013) as part of the overall lackluster "Limited Time Magic" promotion.

I have not heard that they will do that this year (2014.)
