With my old Whirlpool, it was so loud the neighbors knew when I did every load of laundry!!!
The worst offender was something very simple that should have been re-designed and replaced.
It was just the water-pump.
We actually had a repairman come and look at ours, and say, that is just how they are.
Again, that was some time ago, and I do not know if this has been addressed with the more current models.
But, I would still hesitate to buy a Whirlpool over my LG, Just based on my thoughts about our other Whirlpool appliances.
