Trying to book with unloaded points...

I am trying to plan a trip for jan 2025. I am currently waiting for a resale BLT contract to close and load the points to my account. My booking window would open June 2. Can I book those dates with my VGC (within the 7 month window) and then have member services switch to use the BLT points once they get loaded into my account in a few weeks.

As long as all the contracts are under the same membership number, you can do that yourself. You could book using your VGC points, and once the BLT points are loaded modify the reservation (without really modifying it) and select the BLT contract numbers you want to use.

Member services CAN do this, too...but again, ONLY if all the contracts are under the same DVC Membership number. If the BLT is a different use year month, or under a different membership, then no.

Also be sure you don't use borrowed or banked points from VGC to make the reservation, as the program will automatically use banked/norrowed points first.

As long as the reservation is booked 7 months ir less, then you can swap the transferred points for your own points as long as you are not trying to replace banked or borrowed points.

Those must be used first. You also need to make the swap at least 31 days or more so you avoid holding.
