Trunk Bay Bch/snrkl vs. 5 star st johnbch/snkl

I was reading about these 2 excursions. Does the 5 star also take you to Trunk Bay? What is the difference between these two excursions. Seems they both go to St. John. Offer snorkel and beach. So what seems to be the difference.

We did the 5 star two years ago and will probably do it again next year. It was great! Trunk bay is just beautiful and the crew on the leylond sneed are great. I can't compare the two but the five star was well worth what we spent!

Ann...So they do take you to Trunk Bay also?

Am wondering why they have 2 excursions going the same place. Just naming it differently.

It was so beautiful and unspoiled. I don't know if we pulled in in a different location because there was NO ONE else on the beach it reminded me of Gilligan's island. The guides were just great pointing out all kinds of neat things on the trip there like the white castle house and Richard Simmons house as well as pirate things. You had a choice of diving right off the boat or taking dingies to shore to snorkle and enjoy the beach. I just loved it there! The leyand snead is a big boat with a fresh water shower you can use after which is great because the salt content there was amazing you did not even need life vests to float it was so salty!

We did the 5-Star in 2001 and have booked it for our 3/22/03 cruise. I think the difference is that the 5-Star takes you by boat(Leylon Sneed) and the TrunkBay Beach and Snorkal takes you by ferry and by bus. We really enjoyed the 5-Star excursion!
