Trouble with Iphone5 and disboards app

Is anyone else having trouble accessing the app? Appears disboards has gone through an upgrade and maybe the app doesn't work anyone on Iphone 5?

There is no longer an app for DISboards. The only thing you can do is save the DIS website to your Home Screen to access it easily.

The app sill is available from Apple and Google. Rather bad form for the DIS to break the app but not pull it from the app stores, if they have no intention of supporting it any longer.

Wow! Quite interesting. DIS has been attempting to get this site back up to speed as some functions were lost. I still can't edit text prior to posting unless I want to Select/Cut in order to maneuver within my text.

I miss the app!

I never used the app, but commenting using my iPhone is incredibly frustrating since the switch. I frequently cannot type at all (I hit the buttons but nothing shows up in the text box), and I can't go back and edit text like you said.

Yes, I can not use the app anymore on my Iphone 6. It is very frustrating because I used it all of the time!

I haven't been able to access the app on my iPad for several days now, which is a bummer as I like browsing the boards as I eat breakfast each morning.

I'm typing this on my iPhone 6 with out any problems at all. The last few months my app for dis didn't work. This seems much easier to me than it used to so not sure why people don't like using it this way. I've been using it more this way than I did with the app on my phone. Works fine on my iPad as well.

It works on the iPhone 6; I have the 6 Plus but prefer my iPad 2 and it's annoying. Others have reported some 5s and anything earlier are having difficulties.

Hmmm, interesting. Would be annoying to have had it working and now with the new boards it's not. Well, hopefully they'll figure it out soon to get more users back to being able to Dis easily regardless of which device they are using.

Maybe there is still some confusion about this.
Tablet and smart phone users can access and use the DIS right now.
But NOT by using an App.
Those users should open a web browser on their device and go to www.disboards.com

We morphed to discussing how difficult it is to edit any posts when using the site on most iPhones and iPads... We are going in through the browser as that's the only way to access DISboards now.

I'm posting to the DIS right now from my iPhone.

(Or am I missing something else?)

It's just that on some older iOS devices, you can't just choose a spot within the text to Edit. A few days ago, when I would Select > Cut and edit, I then couldn't move anywhere else except to Select > Cut again.

For instance, I can't move the cursor to iOS, I would have to Select > Cut. I'm on my iPad 2 but can maneuver around in my 6 Plus.

Editing after posting works perfectly. Editing prior to posting is beyond tedious.

Before the switch, and on most other websites, I could click on any part of a message currently being composed and make edits. Now, I have to back up and delete everything up to the point I want to edit.

EDIT: BTW, I'm not trying to say that others are not having problems.
I'm just trying to duplicate those problems on my iPhone.
