Dd got the Disney version of Trivial Pursuit for her birthday. The game rules are poorly written. I pulled out our old Trivial Pursuit game from the 80s hoping to read the rules there, but the rules aren't in the box.

I haven't played Trivial Pursuit in well over 15 years, if not longer, and I'm rusty on the rules. I understand that all players begin in the center and can move in any direction. When you land on a space, someone reads you a question that matches the color category of the space you occupy. What I'm not sure of is this:

**If you answer the question correctly, do you automatically get a chip for your token, or do you collect a chip only when you are at the end of the wheel's spoke? I do know that you get to keep going until you give a wrong answer to the question.

**Can 2 players occupy the same space?

**I understand that when you have all of your chips, you have to go to the center of the board and answer one last question to win. Who picks the category of the question, you (the potential winner) or your opponents?

**Specific to the Disney version, what's the deal with the Sorcerer Mickey hat? Do you just move it around to different locations when someone rolls the hat dice? And then if someone lands on the same space as the hat, he/she gets an extra question to answer if they get the 1st question wrong, right? I'm confused about the hat.

If anyone can help with Trivial Pursuit rules, my dd would be grateful!

Here's what I remember the rules to be- can't help you with the Disney version question, but I will try with the others.

1) You only get a "pie piece" at the end of each spoke.

2) 2 players can be on the same space.

3) Your opponents pick the category.

Thanks!

We took a peek at some of the questions. They are tougher than I thought they would be.

I was at Wal Mart yesterday and almost bought the Disney Trivial Pursuit for DD. It looks good. I might still break down and get it- are the kids' questions easier?

LONG time trivial pursuit fans here!

1. You only get a pie piece if you correctly answer a question when on the end of the spoke.

2. If you answer incorrectly, you must roll again and move off the space you WERE on when it is your turn again.

3. You can only move in one direction on the same roll of the die (ie, you can't move 2 spaces forward and 3 spaces back on the same move).

4. Two players can occupy the same space on the board.

5. The opposing team picks the final category if you are on the center space with all the pie pieces.

There is a quick play version of the rules which is that you get a piece of pie for a correct answer regardless of where you are on the board. It makes the game a bit faster.

Thanks!

The kids questions are easier than the adult questions. Each card is marked on 1 side with a picture of which movie the questions on that card are about. We decided to set aside the cards for movies we have not seen. The cards stand in a plastic holder (shaped like a book) so you cannot see the movie until the card is drawn. Our plastic holder wouldn't stay together, so we propped it up against the box.

The game is fun, but we like Disney Scene It a little better.

We like Scene It too. I got it on sale last week at K-Mart. I got the Nickolodean one to and put it up for Christmas for the girls. We are playing the Disney Scene It to get ready to go to WDW.

Oh, I'd like to get Disney Scene It, too. Santa got DD the Harry Potter version which we really like.
