Dd got the Disney version of Trivial Pursuit for her birthday. The game rules are poorly written. I pulled out our old Trivial Pursuit game from the 80s hoping to read the rules there, but the rules aren't in the box.
I haven't played Trivial Pursuit in well over 15 years, if not longer, and I'm rusty on the rules. I understand that all players begin in the center and can move in any direction. When you land on a space, someone reads you a question that matches the color category of the space you occupy. What I'm not sure of is this:
**If you answer the question correctly, do you automatically get a chip for your token, or do you collect a chip only when you are at the end of the wheel's spoke? I do know that you get to keep going until you give a wrong answer to the question.
**Can 2 players occupy the same space?
**I understand that when you have all of your chips, you have to go to the center of the board and answer one last question to win. Who picks the category of the question, you (the potential winner) or your opponents?
**Specific to the Disney version, what's the deal with the Sorcerer Mickey hat? Do you just move it around to different locations when someone rolls the hat dice? And then if someone lands on the same space as the hat, he/she gets an extra question to answer if they get the 1st question wrong, right? I'm confused about the hat.
If anyone can help with Trivial Pursuit rules, my dd would be grateful!
