Thanks for sharing -- sounds like you had a terrific time! Always interested in learning about other places where DVC points can be used. Were you on the French side or the Dutch side or both? St. Martin has been a port of call on 2 cruises we've been on. The first time the island was still trying to recover from a terrible hurricane. We were just there in March 2004 and were amazed at the way it looked now -- it was great (at least the Dutch side)!!

WE STAYED ON THE DUTCH SIDE ACROSS FOME ONE OF THE MANY CASINOS NOT MY THING THERE SO SMALL , CONN HAS TWO OF THE BIGGEST IN THE WORLD
WE DID GO TO THE FRENCH SIDE VERY NICE YOU CAN STILL SEE ALOT OR DAMAGE FROM PAST STORMS
WE TO STOPED WHEN ON A DISNEY CRUISE BUT YOU REALY NEED TO STAY THERE TO APPRICIATE IN:smooth:

Hello,

On July 27th we were on great bay beach in st. martin where the disney magic was in port. We cruised on our points, and were just there for the day and boy was it a beautiful place. We chatted with a gentelman on the beach who was also a dvc member but staying at the royal islander on points. What a small world.

Glad to hear our options are so plentiful and enjoyable.

glad you enjoyed "My Island!!!!", we are going back for 4 nights in October, (we also do 2 weeks in the spring), how is the construction on Front Street in Phillipsburg, I'm not one for change (been going since 1983), but I hear it will be great!!! Did you find Mullet Bay Beach, on the golf course, that's my favorite!! It's in between Maho area and Coupecoy Area.

MULLET BAY WAS NICE JUST A SHORT RIDE FROM THE HOTEL THE TIME SHARES AROUND THE GOLF COURSE WERE NEVER REBUILT FROM THE STORM THAT DESTRYED THEM,, I WILL HAVE TO VOTE FOR COPECOY BEACH AS OUR FAVORATS:smooth:

did they have any lower case letters in st. maarten, or are they strictly on a CAPS LOCK system?

st. maarten must be really exciting to earn that much capitalization. things in oklahoma are so dull, we don't even bother to hit the shift key.

;) I know why you liked coupecoy!!!;) ;) ;) :teeth:

How was the sand there, was it plentiful? Could you walk to the caves to the left of the BBQ guys. I know strange questions, but the beach there comes and goes so much, one will never know, I have been there and then 2 days later, not enough for 1 row of chairs!

:smooth: yes you May have guest why no people yes it is clothing op but so where all the beaches even the hotel
The caves were there not much left we mainly snorkled and played in the water
a local walked around the point with us and showed us long bay resort where the whealthy go
drank carib beers and ate ribs very laid back

but I have to say under every rock is someone trying to sell you a timeshare even at coupacoy beach

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

One of my all time vacation memories was going to the clothing-optional beaches. It really wasn't that shocking, consider that over 90% of the people opted for clothing.

Unfortunately, after we had staked out a nice spot to watch the waves, a man standing 6'6" and weighing 120 pounds decided to stand, constantly stand, in front of me. He was, unfortunately, part of the naked 10 percent.

He insisted on standing sideways, so he could look down the beach. He looked like a human zipper.
