There are a lot of threads on BOG lunch and the FP+ invitations and making FP for upcoming trips.

I wanted to ask for those of you that have already been and eat there if it worked or if you had any problems. Did you have an email invite or did you just make FP without it? Did you order your food in advance? How smoothly did it work or were there any problems? Was the food good? :goodvibes

Sorry. I just realized I probably should have put this under Trip Reports instead of Dining Reservations.
:badpc:

I did it in December, and did not have an email invitation. We arrived to check in and had no problems. I did have a screen shot of my confirmation but did not need to show it. I did not preorder the food, so I can't answer that question. The food was pretty good, not great. I have pictures from the lunch in my dining report: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=50881231&postcount=61

Thanks for the report! The food didn't look all that great on the BOGFP+ website but I guess for lunch it would be a nice change from a burger. :thumbsup2
I think it will be one of those places that people want to eat at just to say they did and not because the food is great. I wonder if the popularity of it will ease off once more people have "been there done that".

Thanks again! :goodvibes

We ate at BoG for lunch three times during our March vacation. Never received an email invitation - just went to the website and did it there. I had taken screenshots of the confirmation page, just in case, but it was never an issue. The CMs at the kiosk found our name on the list each time and sent us straight in. We didn't order in advance, but it didn't slow things up. There was a very short line at the FP+ scanner, and once through that, we were sent to a kiosk, usually with one family already there ordering . That was the only thing that can slow up the process - some people were either very indecisive or had trouble with the ordering screens. Once we got the ordering done and got seated, the food came very quickly. We felt that the food was a definite cut above the usual counter service spots, while being way less expensive than a sit-down restaurant, and the atmosphere, at least in the Rose Room (if that's the right name) was definitely more upscale than counter service. We thoroughly enjoyed BoG, and DH has decided it's his new favorite place to eat.
