Of course we are still here! That fuddy duddy memory of yours must be forgetting that you have a whole host of fans! And I would be willing to serve as president of your fan club. We can print up shirts...DORY ROCKS! DORY'S STORY!! Okay, the shirts may be pushing it just a tad...but I am really enjoying your pre trip report.

Trip reports by nature are faster than pretrip reports (most of the time). It's much easier to write about what has happened than to create material about what is yet to come. So, cut yourself some slack...keep writing the great posts, know you are one of my favorite DIS writers and KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

And if you want a slow moving trip report, just check out the drainage clog known as mine! I am slower than molasses! There, now you know you are more timely with your pre trip than at least one other person.

PS The picture of your daughter and Beast. I LOVE IT!! What a sweet picture. Also, I am jealous of her. If I could pick a Disney prince, he would be it (in all of his hairy, snarly, grumpy glory).

One afternoon, that same year that DD posed with The Beast, she was waiting for me near The Great Movie ride with Grandma. I ran to that restaurant to get her something to drink and as I was coming in, The Beast and his wrangler CM were coming out. I will admit to a HUGE crush on The Beast after seeing the movie! Well, I don't know what type of look I must have had on my face when I saw him, but he opened up his arms and pulled me in for a huge hug! The wrangler CM was laughing and she ended up hugging me, too!! No words were spoken -- but we had a moment!!!

I'm still here too!! I've been reading all the posts. My DD16 was having some health problems. She ended up in the hospital - they said she had type 1 Diabetes. Long story short - she doesn't Doctors I was giving that poor girl shots she didn't need.

Then both girls had their dance recital and we..it's been crazy around here!!

Your ADRs look great. I made all mine, I didn't get everything I wanted though. I wanted CRT - I even called from DD's hospital room. (Ok I confess...Disney Dining is programed into my cell phone ). No luck.
I did get the Princess Breakfast in Epcot. DD10 said she was ok with that .

I got my Christmas Party tickets too. We'll be there the same night

I'm currently planning our 100 day party, our 50 day party and our night before party. Basically, I buy Disney themed paper products and we each "Disney" food. Chicken strips, fries, etc... Then we talk about our plans and play a Disney trivia game.

Keep posting your plans!! And I love the pictures!! Were you wearing a Guns and Roses shirt in the Grand Floridian pictures????

I can't believe that happened to your daughter! That poor girl and poor you! I'm so thankful she doesn't have it, though. Those weeks that I thought I had it were hard -- thinking your whole life had to change and how difficult it was going to be. I can't believe that happened to both her and me! I'm so glad that both doctor's got it wrong!

That's funny about calling Disney Dining from the hospital -- my DD has that number in her cell, too!!!

That chemo brain attacked again the other day! I took some food out of the freezer and went about my day. Several hours later I asked/accused DD and DM about why on earth they had taken all that out when I did all the cooking and planned something else!! They both just sighed and rolled their eyes -- they know me too well!! We all laughed and I ended up cooking what I didn't know I had planned in the first place!

I love rock n' roll! I've always loved music and was raised on it. I thought that my parents were friends with Frank Sinatra when I was a little girl!

Hair!!

I think about hair a lot! How could I not? I went from having way too much! Every time I had my hair cut, they would jokingly complain about how long it took to do because it was so thick!


(on my wedding day -- no kidding, right? July 28, 1984. With my beautiful Mom. I definitely married the wrong person, but the wedding was a dream come true!)

To losing every single hair on my body!

And I do mean every single hair! Although I did enjoy not shaving my legs! I tried a wig, but it didn't work for me. I felt like I was lying somehow, that I was being fake when I had it on. I wore a lot of bandanas and hats, baseball caps. And sometimes, I just went nude!

When it grew in, it weirdly grew in with two completely white stripes that were a few inches wide. It was wild. My doctor said he had only heard about that happening but felt it was my fear that made it white. I kinda liked it, actually. However, when it began growing the white went away.

Then last December at our celebration at Disney! It had come in a bit more.



And this morning!

It is a different color from the colors it grew back in, and it can be frizzy at times but not like it was. I looked like I had an afro as it grew back and it still gets so curly!

Hair usually grows about a half an inch to an inch a month. So by the time we go at the very end of November when we go on our trip to Disney, it should be anywhere from 2 inches to five inches longer!!! This is a super thrill for me! I'm never ever cutting it for the rest of my life! I'll have trims to keep it healthy, but no cutting! DD hates long hair (even though hers was so gorgeous long!) but I love it! And if I live to be an old lady, I'm going to be one of those ones with the long braid of silver hair down her back!!

I'm with you about not cutting my hair! My Dh absolutely LOVES my long hair. Every now and then I threaten to cut it - boy does he get mad!! Both my DD's have long hair too. Actually DS has sort of long hair too.

Before my nephew lost all his hair from leukemia is was a white blond color - think the boy from Home Alone. When it grew back in it grew in dark - think Elvis! It was really weird! Who knew that hair could be so tricky!!

I was young! Only 20 years old, younger than DD is now. I was ready for marriage, though, just shoulda picked someone else. But I wouldn't have DD had I done anything different.

Hair is so weird. You'd think that your original color and texture would always be unless you go grey, but that is just not how it is.

I had stick straight hair until I went on hormone injections to have my kids. Now I'm naturally curly. Crazy. (I really need to post a better picture so you can all see what I REALLY look like!)

My hair got thicker when I was pregnant with DD but didn't change much.

Good luck with the tree. We had that happen when I was a kid back in PA. It was scary and cool at the same time.

I think some of us are ready really young and some just aren't. I was ready but picked the wrong person. As I said, I'm happy because I wouldn't have DD otherwise, but sometimes think about that red headed boy from high school ....... LOL Wonder what my life would be like now?

My Mom got married when she was just 21 and my parents were married and in love until my Dad passed away. I really wish I had had that.

Hi everyone

Like many of you, we're big Crystal Palace fans and decided against Tony's even though we haven't dined there in two years. Somehow, I remember the menu being better or maybe I'm just secretly dying to try Tutto Italia and don't want secondary Italian at Disney World But Crystal Palace has that dessert tray, and who can resist a hug from Winnie the Pooh? Well, I called this afternoon and got us a reservation for 12/1 for 3:55 pm, so that makes us happy

BUT! Anybody that has a great desire to dine with Tony on 12/1, I canceled a 5:00 pm reservation for 2 adults this afternoon, so......it's out there.

AND! I am going to see Wall-E tomorrow night with the boyfriend because DM doesn't want to see it How could somebody not want to see a Disney movie? This is far beyond my comprehension, but I'm sure Disney-Pixar will not fail to entertain me and make me go 'awww' at all the little cute things Wall-E does. Wouldn't it be great if you could meet an interactive Wall-E at MGM's new Pixar Place? He could come out like the live-action trash can and plant at MK and AK.
