The real question is: why am I wearing a lanyard of pins in our driveway, three full hours away from Disney?

I thought of that question as well. And it's FULL of heavy pins...you must have neck muscles of steel!

I love how excited you both look in those pictures...I can see the anticipation of what is to come written all over your faces.

I demand that you tie Beast to your lanyard for your next trip. Then maybe he won't be forgotten!

You have quite a few teasers there in your first paragraph... hummmm, someone famous that you talked to, good food/ bad food, witnessing a fight to remember in Epcot, nice/bad people, crowded/empty parks, POFQ.... it all sounds like a trip to remember! I'm hoping you guys are feeling better and are over your colds! Bring on the trip!!

I think I'll tie the Beast to DD!! That should work!!

Hi DisneyDusted!!! Lots of teasers, the trip was a teaser of sorts!! We are just finally getting over our Disney Diseases of sneezing and coughing and medicine and snot! Laundry is being done, unpacking is finished and our new presents are put away!

We checked into POFQ with a wonderful cast member who asked us if we were planning on going straight to a park or if we wanted a room that was ready! HELLO? Did she even have to ask?!?! We were so excited to have our room ready and walked to a room in building 6. We were thrilled to find a breathtaking water view. It was great, with three towel animals waiting for us. (Although I have to admit, I wonder if they were there from the last occupants of the room, since I never take mine with me?) We were a little further than our room last year, in building 2, but still so close to everything.

POFQ is so quaint and so homey. There is an easy going attitude that I just adore and all the CM’s are wonderful. The guests seem to really be into it, too. They were playing Christmas carols all over the resort, most of them with a blues or jazz beat to honor New Orleans. The decorations were fabulous.

DD brought everything in and I put things away -- soda and water in the fridge, shampoo and body wash in the shower, and a power strip on the floor (this was a GREAT tip from a fellow DISer! We were able to charge both phones, both cameras and plug in my laptop!) I got my humidifier ready for that night. The only thing missing was a remote control!!!! Don’t they realize I am a child of the television age? The 60’s and 70’s for little kids were all about what shows were on and nothing has changed!! It only took about twenty minutes but they soon brought it!

I've never been to POFQ so your pictures are really fun to look at. In one of the lobby pictures there is a lady on a bench; she looks like she has the "Disney checking out" blues. You have the "I'm so excited to be starting our vacation" look! The grounds of the resort are so pretty!

Your room had a great view! What good luck! I love that little towel animal creature. Maybe it was one of Beast's mop heads come to life?

I bet both of you were so excited to be able to get into your room right away.

I love the picture of you in front of the Christmas tree andt he one of dd near the fountain. You both look so happy and beautiful!

Our view was fabulous! (We were on the third floor) I never got tired of looking out, it's so peaceful. I also have to note that you can hear Illuminations (the fireworks, not the narration obviously) exploding every night and our very first night, DM had the most frightened look on her face in the hotel room as the show started! I had to promise her it was Illuminations and not thunder or something else more terrifying

The Christmas carols were lovely that played throughout the resort, but after the fourth or fifth day/night at POFQ, I was just the slightest bit tired of hearing "There's No Place Like Home For The Holidays". And that is one of my favorite Christmas songs, so you can imagine how much it was played!
