Your poor DS! That's terrible that the rash got better even after the Benadryl. I feel so terribly for him that he was so embarrassed. I hope he got to feeling better before the end of your trip.

That CM was so nice to drive you over to the Poly in the golf cart! Boo on your room not being ready, but that's great that you decided to head over to DHS because it looks like you had a pretty good morning there. I'm interested to read about the Jack Sparrow experience since I haven't read or seen much about it here on the boards.

We love eating at Sci Fi! We usually eat there every trip but this year I decided to change things up and make an ADR for 50's Prime Time instead. On our last DHS day, DH just couldn't take it anymore and we made it into Sci Fi as a walk in. I can't believe that couple behind you. How classless! But some people have made getting things for free an art form. Really pathetic.

I vaguely remember the story of the finger in Wendy's chili. It makes you wonder, though.......where the heck does someone get hold of a finger to pull off a scam like that?

I mean really what the heck?

Wouldn't you think if the man who is missing the finger found said digit after it was removed he would be like-- Say, ER doc, think you might could sew this back on? Instead, he's like Say, crazy lady- can I put my finger in your chili?



Well one would think so....

Now as far as eating bad stuff all day--- I'm staying away from home today to keep my fully attached digits out of the pantry where I keep the Reeses stash. Otherwise I'd be all up in it. Again.

Yeah, that's why you had to go shopping -- to stay out of the pantry. Uh huh.

How strange that Sci-Fi didn't have a chicken sandwich on the menu (those are usually pretty standard). And it sounds like you had some interesting company at your meal as well. People like that are the reason why everyone else has to pay higher prices.

I know, I thought that was very strange too. I knew they had changed the menu, but come on!!

You are so right -- it's people like them who cause the prices to be higher for the rest of us.

It was pretty awful for a few days. Poor little guy!

Yes, it was super nice of that CM to take us over. We were very grateful. It seemed to dumb to get a taxi to go next door!

My trip planning is coming along okay. I got the airfare. We are flying into Tampa and going to Clearwater for a few nights before Disney. Or at least that was the plan...That part of the trip is ending up to cost way more than I want to spend, so now IDK what to do. Other than that confusion things are looking good. ADR day is in one week!!

After our very delicious lunch we walked back to the new Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow attraction. The wait time still said 30 minute, but we decided to get in line anyway. We had time to kill until our 1:30 FP+ anyway. There was a CM there and she said it was 8 minutes until the next show! Not sure why the sign said 30 minutes all day.

So in less than 10 minutes our group went in. I can't really say it was exactly what I was expecting. I guess I thought it was going to be more of a walk-thru type thing with more than one room. But it is all actually in one room. It's kind of neat I suppose. But probably not a must do every trip.

From there we went into One Man's Dream. We just looked at all the stuff. We didn't go into the movie this time.

DS wanted to make it look like he was drawing this!

This was a nice model of the new Fantasyland.

The model of the new LM ride was very neat!!

While in One Man's Dream (at 1:10pm) I got the text that our room was ready – room 3610! I was so hoping the CM was right and that was in the Samoa building.

So we headed over to TSM to use our FP+ before heading back to the Poly to unpack and get settled into our room. If you look real hard here you can see that it is 1:25 on the FP return time sign. Our FP's were for 1:30. Can you believe they would not let us in???

The one CM was actually pretty rude about it and told us to 'go stand off to the side' for 5 minutes.

So we moved away from there and waited it out. DS11 found a much friendlier CM to trade pins with.

Poor DS was still wearing his lei to cover up his horrible rash on his neck.

And at 1:30 on the dot we went back over to the FP entrance and were let in. Good grief.

DS11 rode with me and DH & DS13 rode together.

My score was a little higher than DS's, but his accuracy was better!

DS thought about getting this hat to cover up his rash!!

We stopped for a quick family pic since we hadn't done that earlier and then we were out to the bus stop. We were all very excited to get back to the Poly to see where our room was!!

So surprised the wait time was posted at 30 minutes and yet you only waited 8. Weird. I am looking forward to seeing this next time- when we went past it in December there was a long line and I think the wait time was 30 minutes so we passed it by. It looks neat but I will probably think the same thing== once every few trips will be enough for us.

We love One Man's Dream!! The new additions look really neat. I love that they have Walt Disney's office in there. Such a throw back to the 60s.

Stupid that the CMs won't let you into the queue if you're 5 minutes early. Makes no sense to me. And then to be rude about it. Reminds me of the scene in Meet the Parents when the main character goes to board the plane and the attendant won't let him board because he isn't in the zone she had called-- and yet there's no one else waiting to board. 'Step aside please sir'. OMG. SO FUNNY. I'm sure your situation wasn't funny to you though. How rude.
At least you got to ride and use the fastpasses. That must have been super nice to not have to worry about getting them!

I bet it was only a short wait when you went by the Capt Jack thing too. I think they cram as many people in there as they can and the whole "show" only lasts about 10-15 minutes.

All the displays at One Man's Dream are so cool!

Yes, the TSM FP+ thing was ridiculous. I couldn't believe the CM got an attitude with us. It's not like we were trying to fight our way in or something!! I seriously thought the new rule was 5 minutes early and up to 15 minutes late. Guess not anymore.

It sure was nice to have those FP+ though. Saved us lots of time at DHS & MK.

Are you serious??? One stinking minute? Wow and I thought 5 minutes was bad. That is crazy. They have an over-ride button right there that they can hit and let you through (we found this out the next day when our FP+ were all screwed up at MK). Not very good customer service if you ask me!

It's good to know that the wait time for the new Pirates attraction is not always accurate. Though from the sound of it, I don't know if I want to make the time to see it.

Yes, we had an awesome view from our GF room! The one from our Poly room wasn't too bad either -- lots to come on that!
