Hi! I'm in the midst of planning my 10th trip to Disney and my 1st solo adventure in Disney. I've planned this trip multiple times, but it has never come to fruition. This time I bit the bullet and booked it before I let life or other things change my mind.

I'm 35 years old, from New Orleans. I go by Jax or Jackie most of the time. My very first trip to WDW was when I was 14. I begged my parents to go to WDW for years. They finally gave in the summer before my Freshman year of HS. As with all the other things I wanted to do in life I was told that if I really wanted to go I had to do all the research and planning. I was discussing this the other day with a fellow Disney fan and repeat traveller. It's so strange to think back to planning that first trip and realizing that I got all of my information from books at the bookstore or calling 407WDISNEY to ask questions.

Since that first trip I have been back eight other times. Four times with my High School (96-99). Once with a friend who's son was in school near WDW in October '08. A huge family trip (20+) during Christmas '08. Once with my BFF in '10 for our 30th birthday celebration. And my most recent trip was taking my godsons for their first trip during Thanksgiving '11.

As much as I LOVE celebrating Disney with people that I care about and introducing it to others for the first time I have wanted for some time to take the opportunity to experience it by myself.

Over the next few days I hope to update with details of tentative plans, more information about myself, and some goals and must do's for this trip. I love to meet and talk with people so feel free to chime in if you have any thoughts/advice/ideas/anything.

A little about me:

I'm obsessive to a fault and when I become interested in something I have to know "EVERYTHING" about it. This tends to lead me to being an over involved planner.

I'm 35 years old and born and raised in the New Orleans area. My first trip to WDW was when I was 14 and it's been my favorite vacation spot since. The runner up for vacation spots in my world is Manhattan or more specifically The Great White Way.

I love to travel with friends and I love to travel with (some of my) family, but I truly enjoy traveling SOLO. The freedom/autonomy/ability to control/plan/change the who, what, when, where, why of the trip is something that cannot be matched.

I work in big box retail as an Operations Manager and have done this for the past 15 years.

My other fan related loves in life aside from DISNEY are Harry Potter and all things Joss Whedon related.

Ooh, I really want to do a solo trip, so I'm in!

My husband and I love visiting New Orleans, and had our honeymoon there!
We even considered moving to Mandeville at one time.

I'm also a Harry Potter and Joss Whedon fan. I'm gonna like you, I can tell ::yes::

Looking forward to hearing about your plans for your upcoming adventure!!

I really want to do the WW in Universal, but I'm the only Harry Potter fan in my group of friends. So I'm thinking a solo trip will be in my future soon. Can't wait to try the frozen butterbeer! :)

Hi! It's nice to meet you! Yay for things in common! You have a TR and a PTR for me to read. Yay!

Another solo trip planned, Harry Potter and Joss Whedon lover here!

*waves* Hi! I'm off to go read your report.

I really want to do the WW in Universal, but I'm the only Harry Potter fan in my group of friends. So I'm thinking a solo trip will be in my future soon. Can't wait to try the frozen butterbeer! :)

On the first trip to WWoHP we had nonPotter fans with us. They enjoyed the WW part like the rest of the park and then we sent them off to do other things while the two Potterheads stayed and soaked in every detail. Frozen butterbeer is worth tasting. STAY AWAY FROM THE PUMPKIN JUICE!

I look forward to your weighing in on the Great Angel or Spike Conundrum :D

LOL. Shipped with Buffy? Spike; As a standalone character? Spike. I was a huge Angelus fan as well though. Angel was supposed to be with Cordy.

And where do you weigh in on that topic?

Also Buffy or Faith?

If you force me to choose, I'd have to say Angel...but mostly I go back and forth depending on my mood :P.

If we're talking who do I want on my side saving the world, then Buffy. But I love love LOVE Faith, and want to hang out with her, at least for one night. Hopefully I'd survive until morning!
